PARTS LIST AND PARTS LIST 1PC ALUMINUM INTAKE PIPE 1PC HIGH-FLOW, OILED AIR FILTER 1PC SILICONE INDUCTION HOSE 1PC AIRBOX 1PC 1/16 RUBBER STRIPPING, 9 LENGTH 1PC 1/16 RUBBER STRIPPING, 8.5 LENGTH 1PC WORM-GEAR CLAMP 1PC 2.5 T-BOLT CLAMP INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 01) REMOVING THE FACTORY INTAKE 1. Loosen the worm-gear clamp connecting the intake box to the rubber intake boot, and remove the boot from the intake box. (flathead screwdriver) HARDWARE Tools Needed 8MM SOCKET 10MM SOCKET 10MM DEEP SOCKET 4MM ALLEN KEY 3/8 DRIVE 6 EXTENSION 3/8 DRIVE RATCHET 10MM RATCHET WRENCH FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER CHANNELLOCK PLIERS INSTALLATION TIME: 30 60 MINUTES DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 2/5 2. Disconnect the plug from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. 3. Remove the tree clip and 10mm bolt holding the airbox to the inner wheel well. Disclaimer Raise vehicle only on jack stands or on a vehicle lift. Allow vehicle to cool completely prior to attempting installation. Do not run the engine or drive the vehicle while overheating. Serious damage can occur. Please dispose of any liquids properly. Mishimoto is not responsible for any vehicle damage or personal injury due to installation errors, misuse, or removal of Mishimoto products. 4. Remove the airbox by pulling it toward the rear of your Mustang and then pull up. Mishimoto suggests that a trained professional install all Mishimoto products.. CONTINUED ON FOLLOWING PAGE b 01

5. Remove the IAT sensor from the airbox. Gently lift the tab on the sensor, and then turn the entire sensor counterclockwise and pull outward. (small flathead screwdriver). 02) INSTALLING THE MISHIMOTO INTAKE 10. Attach the provided T-bolt clamp to the Mishimoto inlet hose, and connect the hose to the turbo. Using a small amount of WD-40 inside the hose will aid with installation. Do not fully tighten the clamp. Note: The clamp must be facing in the direction pictured. 6. Remove the spring clip from the bypass valve hose, and remove the bypass valve hose from the stock intake pipe. 7. Remove the quick-disconnect fitting from the hose next to the bypass valve. Pull outward on the plastic tab before pulling on the connector itself. 11. Reconnect the quick-disconnect fitting. You should hear the plastic tabs snap into place. 12. Reconnect the bypass valve hose to the CNC-machined fitting on the Mishimoto inlet hose, and slide the spring clip into place. (Channellock pliers). 8. Loosen the worm-gear clamp connecting the intake tube to the turbo inlet. (flathead screwdriver) 9. Remove the intake tube by pulling toward the front of your Mustang and then slightly twisting the assembly to clear the side of the engine. CONTINUED ON FOLLOWING PAGE b 02

13. Remove the long 10mm bolt that secures the headlight housing. 16. Firmly apply the smaller rubber strip to the airbox opening, and install the airbox into the engine bay. You might need to pull the plastic diversion plate slightly upward. 14. Remove the tree clips from the harness on the bottom of the wheel well. (flathead screwdriver) 17. Make sure that the tab on the airbox falls in line with the ground bolt, and fully tighten the 8mm ground bolt. 15. Loosen the 8mm top ground bolt but do not fully remove. 18. Install the two tree clips on the bottom, starting with the rearward tree clip. 19. Reinstall the long 10mm bolt through the forward tab on the airbox and fully tighten. 03

20. Attach the filter to the aluminum intake pipe, and tighten the filter into place. (flathead screwdriver) 23. Attach the large worm-gear clamp to the hose. 21. Attach the upper rubber bushing to the intake pipe. The unused threads must be facing upward. (10mm ratchet wrench) 24. Remove the tree clip holding the wire harness to the body of your Mustang. 22. Reinstall the IAT sensor by pushing on the opening of the pipe and then turning clockwise until it stops. Gently pull upward to be sure that the IAT sensor is seated correctly. 22. Insert the intake pipe and air filter into the engine bay. If the filter fitment is tight, turn the assembly slightly during install. CONTINUED ON FOLLOWING PAGE b 04

26. Position the rubber bushing so that the threads protrude through the opening in the body. Install the 10mm nut and hand tighten. 29. Fully tighten the 10mm nut that holds the rubber bushing to the body of your Mustang. 30. Route the wire harness around the intake pipe and through the small cutout near the corner of the airbox. Attach the tree clip to the opening in the airbox. 27. Position the intake pipe into the inlet hose. The hose should have some room to move. Fully tighten the large worm-gear clamp. 31. Route the wire plug outside the airbox, and connect it to the IAT sensor. 28. Fully tighten the T-bolt clamp that holds the inlet hose to the turbo. (10mm socket) 32. Attach the large rubber strip to the airbox lid. One end must sit flush, while the other end should extend about 3/4 for clearance. 05

33. Insert the airbox lid and press firmly. Attach the lid to the airbox using the supplied Mishimoto 4mm black button head bolts and nylon washers. 34. You have now successfully installed the Mishimoto 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Performance Air Intake. Enjoy! 06
