Refuse Service Charges are comprised of the costs associated with the new contract with the City s waste Hauler, Waste Management Incorporated and City Administrative costs. These rates were approved by the City Council on July 20, 2016. The Agreement provides Waste Management with exclusive rights to collect garbage, recyclable materials, bulky items and organic waste from residential, multifamily and City service units when services are provided in carts and bins. The Agreement also grants exclusive rights to collect garbage from commercial service units when services are provided in carts and bins. The Agreement includes all of the enhanced and new programs as well as implementation procedures and service level requirements for each program. A.
