About the Europa XS The Europa XS is a two-seater composite monoplane typically cruising in the range of 120 to 140kts. Building a Europa Europa Aircraft want your build experience to be as seamless, and as much fun as possible. We pride ourselves on the excellent support and on-going assistance we offer to our builder. In addition to our Builder s Manuals, we provide regular service updates, modifi cation notices and technical bulletins with plans for an online knowledge base and regular workshop days at the factory. I thoroughly enjoyed the build; easy manual to work with and a fabulous builder s website for help. Tim Ward, Europa owner. Build stages Option A Full Airframe Kit (Stages 1 to 3 supplied together). The advantage with this is that the total price of all the kits is discounted. Option B Stage 1 Kit (Conventional Control Surfaces) The conventional stage 1 kit comprises the fl ying control surfaces, supplied as foam cores ready to be laminated. It also includes all necessary hardware, and suffi cient resin to enable completion of all three stages of the airframe build. Stage 1 Kit (NG Control Surfaces) The advantage of the NG control surfaces is that they provide a signifi cant reduction in build time. Instead of a typical build time of over 200 hours for the conventional control surfaces the NG control surfaces can be completed in 30 hours. This kit also includes all necessary hardware, and suffi cient resin to enable completion of all three stages of the airframe build. Stage 2 Kit (Wings) Kit two comprises the pre-moulded wings, together with all necessary hardware. Stage 3 Kit (Fuselage) This kit comprises the pre-moulded fuselage with integral fi rewall, cockpit module, instrument panel, all control linkages, landing gear, brake system, fuel system, doors, windows and windscreen, harnesses, trim system, and all hardware necessary to complete the airframe aft of the fi rewall. Stage 4 Kit (Firewall Forward) The contents of the stage 4 kit are dependent upon the choice of engine. Europa recommends Rotax engines, and if specifi ed the following will be included in the stage 4 kit: Europa engine mount (fi ts Rotax ring mount) Coolant radiator Radiator ducting Stainless steel exhaust system (912 UL and 912ULS only) Oil cooler Throttle and choke cables Top and bottom engine cowlings All necessary hardware 14 www.europa-aircraft.com Europa-Brochure.indd 14 10/06/2010 15:41

Europa Community Swift Technology Group Over 1000 builders in six continents give testimony to Europa s universal appeal. There are a number of support communities available for Europa builders and pilots. The most prominent of these are the Europa Club and Europa Builder s Forum. Technology Group Europa Aircraft is part of the Swift Technology Group. The Europa Club - the Europa Club is run by builders and fl yers. The club hosts its own website and forum, publishes a quarterly journal and organises many events and fl y-ins and social events through the year.
