Performance Curves Performance curves are based on AMCA Standard 500 using test setup apparatus figure 5.3 (damper installed with duct upstream and downstream). Static pressure and cubic feet per minute (cfm) are corrected to.075 lb/cu. ft air density. Table 3: Performance Data for PC-150 Model Damper Width, in. Conservative ratings are presented intentionally in an effort to avoid misapplication. Installation Items Needed nut driver, 5/16 inch socket hammer hole saw, 1-1/4 inch drill bit, 3/16 inch (5 mm), No. 9 or 10 drill No. 1 self-tapping or No. 10-4 machine screws Technical Specifications PC-15x Counter-Balanced Backdraft Dampers 1. Install with frame square. Do not twist or rack the frame square. Use shims between the damper frame and the opening or duct to prevent distortion of the frame square.. Multiple section assemblies must be fastened together on the top, bottom, and all sides. Use appropriate bracing at every horizontal mullion and vertical bracing every 8 feet of damper width. 3. To complete the operation, position blade counter balance weights to set the desired blade opening pressure. 4. For fan discharge applications, locate the damper at least half the fan diameter from fan discharge. Isolation from excessive fan vibration is recommended.
