The Thunder winches feature water-proof 6 and 6.8 horsepower motors which offers high power, with lower current draw. This is due to the effectiveness of the waterproof planetary gearbox. Dyneema rope adds improved safety over wire cable by not recoiling back at the vehicle should it break under load, but instead dropping to the ground almost immediately.
