Mst cities and cunties require permits fr exterir cnstructin and electrical circuits. Be aware f yur lcal cdes and laws. Sme areas have cdes requiring barriers such as fencing and/r self-clsing gates n prperty t prevent unsupervised access t the prperty by children. All listed requirements must be met prir t delivery f yur spa. If yu purchased the 240V versin electrical hkup, electrical wrk must be dne by a licensed, certified electrician. Yur street must be clear frm all debris and must be able t accmmdate a truck (up t 65 lng). If this is an issue, please cntact us at least 48 hurs befre delivery. Delivery will be made CURBSIDE at the end f yur driveway. NO EXCEPTIONS. Extrardinary curbside delivery requirements may prevent delivery r may require extra fees, payable by buyer t the retailer s carrier. Any extrardinary delivery requirements need t be pre-arranged prir t delivery. Delivery will be Mnday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and cannt be delivered withut a signature. All required city/subdivisin permits are the respnsibility f the spa wner. Spa unpackaging is the respnsibility f the BUYER. Spa must be inspected befre delivery agent departs. If damage is nticed, nte the damage n the freight bill and call AquaRest Spas at 1-888-768-6772. Installing yur new Dream Maker Spa culdn t be simpler. After filling yur spa, just plug it in t any standard 120v / 15 amp utlet fr pwer.* D nt use an extensin crd. If yu prefer, ur mdels can be hardwired by a certified electrician. *T avid nuisance circuit breaker tripping, it is best t use an utlet n a circuit which des nt supply pwer t any ther majr running appliance. This can be checked by turning ff the circuit breaker that supplies the intended utlet and verifying that n ther electrical devices n lnger wrk, such as a refrigeratr, dishwasher, washing machine, cffee maker, hair dryer, etc. 2. N Overhead Pwer Lines. D nt lcate yur spa under verhead pwer lines r in prximity t existing buried r expsed electrical circuits. See yur electrician. 3. Childprf Yur Spa. Plan fr limiting access f children. Precautins such as self-clsing and lcking gates r access drs, fencing and ther child barriers, as dictated by the site. 4. UL Safety Cver Required. In additin t its insulating factrs, a gd cver als prvides a measure f additinal prtectin frm unwanted access. Site Selectin Prvide a slid lad-bearing site: CAUTION: Yur spa must be installed n a level, flat, slid lad-bearing surface. D nt lcate the spa n a surface that can be damaged r altered by water. The site must prvide a slid fundatin with a minimum lad bearing capacity f 117 punds per square ft (572 kgs per square meter). Cncrete slabs and decks must be designed t supprt this weight. D nt select a site cmpsed f individual unsupprted bricks, blcks, grass r ther materials which will shift unevenly and cause damage t yur spa s internal frame. Prvide a level, flat site: A level site is critical t bth the perfrmance and enjyment f yur spa. A flat and level site prvides the surface necessary t prperly dispense weight between the ftwell (which bears mst f the spa s weight) and the structural frame (which primarily prvides stabilizatin and secndary supprt). Electrical Requirements fr 120V 15AMP Lcate yur spa s that the GFCI plug and crd will reach a dedicated 120V utlet, but nt clser than 5 feet (1.5 meters). A dedicated utlet is ne that des nt have ther electrical devices perating n the same circuit. This can be checked by turning ff the circuit breaker that supplies the intended utlet and verifying that n ther electrical devices n lnger wrk, such as a refrigeratr, dishwasher, washing machine, cffee maker, hair dryer, etc. D nt use an extensin crd. See wners manual fr directins n extending crd. D nt cnnect t the utlet until the spa is filled with water. Nte the deluxe upgrade package cnsists f a Factry Installed:120/240V, 1 kw/4kw heater, 2 speed pump and an zne generatr. The Spa ships Plug and Play ready fr 120-Vlt 15 Amp with a 1kW heater. The heater can be cnverted frm a 120-Vlt 1kW t 240-Vlt 4kW with the installatin f a 30 r 50 Amp 240-Vlt electrical service, by a certified electrician. Find GFCI pwer plug lcated belw the right crner f the equipment access dr and cut the white tie. Pull GFCI alng with pwer crd and inspect the full length f the crd fr any damage befre each use. If crd gets tangled, remve equipment access dr (see next picture). Remve and save access panel screws. Use cautin when reinstalling the screws. D nt ver-tighten. Electrical Requirements fr 240V* 240V electrical cnnectins must be cmpleted by a Certified Licensed Electrician. A GFCI AND A DISCONNECT SWITCH ARE REQUIRED: The Natinal Electrical Cde requires that spas cnnected t 240V circuits be equipped with a GFCI and Discnnect Switch. See Natinal Electrical Cde Articles 680-12 and 680-42. ISOLATED, DEDICATED 240V, 30 OR 50 AMP CIRCUITS ARE REQUIRED. All 240V peratins wiring must be permanently hardwired, installed in grunded cnduit and installed in cmpliance with the Natinal Electrical Cde and all lcal cdes. WARNING: USE COPPER CONDUCTORS ONLY!
