Breathing carbon monoxide can cause nausea, fainting or death. KDAR Company 7

Operation 7. Aim wand at surface to be cleaned and depress the gun trigger. CAUTION Do not run the power washer for more then 5 minutes without depressing the gun trigger to allow water to flow. The excessive heat build up could damage the pump. Nozzle Selection Note: The force of the spray on the surface being cleaned increases as the nozzle is moved closer to the surface. 0 High Pressure (Red) - This nozzle produces a very aggressive water stream and extreme caution must be used to prevent injury to persons or animals and damage to surface. 15 High Pressure (Yellow) - Provides a wide cleaning area with a high pressure water stream. This nozzle is used for most cleaning applications. 40 High Pressure (White) - The widest coverage area for cleaning with a high pressure water stream. 65 Low Pressure (Black) - Wide coverage with low pressure, normally used for the application of chemicals. Cleaning Techniques Cleaning with Water When cleaning with a pressure washer, many surfaces can be cleaned with just water. On a vertical surface, clean from the bottom up using a horizontal motion. Then rinse from the top down using the same motion. Application of Soap or Degreaser 1. Insert the chemical suction hose into the container. 2. Select the low pressure nozzle (black). 3. Spray cleaner onto a dry surface. For a vertical surface start at the bottom and move up using a horizontal motion. 4. Allow solution to remain on the surface for a short time to work in. 5. Rinse surface under high pressure from bottom up and then from top down. CAUTION Only car wash detergents developed for use with a pressure washer and mild soaps should be used with this pressure washer. Only chemicals compatible with the aluminum and brass parts of this pressure washer should be used. KDAR assumes no responsibility for damages cause by chemicals used with this pressure washer. Safety Features Thermal Relief This pressure washer is equipped with a thermal relief valve to protect the pump from overheating. This valve is intended to be a backup system and every effort should be made to keep the pump from over heating. Turn the power washer off if it is not going to be used for more than five minutes. This will extend the life of the pump and save fuel. Safety Lock Off Latch The gun is equipped with a safety lock off latch to prevent accidental discharge of high pressure water. The safety latch should be engaged whenever the pressure washer is not in use. Low-Oil Shutdown This power washer is equipped with low-oil shutdown. If the oil level in the engine gets too low the engine will shut down automatically. This prevents damage to the engine resulting from insufficient lubrication. It the engine shuts down and the oil is at the proper level, make sure the pressure washer is on a level surface. Having the unit at an angle may shift the oil giving the sensor a false reading.
