DEVICE DESCRIPTION This metal detector and rejection system has been specially developed for the high detection and hygiene requirements needed in the examination of meat emulsion. Versions are available which can be connected to the current Handtmann and Vemag fillers. The type MDP Plus-R search coil with evaluation electronics MDP Plus-E is used as the metal detection device (see the corresponding data sheets). The search coil can optionally be enclosed in a stainless steel housing (fully encased design) or can be freely accessible (non-encased design). The product guide pipe can be removed laterally following the loosening of an eccentric clamping level (fully encased design) or two hand knobs (non-encased design). The rejection device (slide valve ASV) has a pneumatically operated piston which allows the product to flow horizontally. When there is a metal signal, the piston is moved upwards and the product flow in which there is metal contamination is diverted downwards. The slide valve can be dismantled without tools for periodic cleaning. The product guide connections are available in versions for connection to the current Handtmann and Vemag fillers. The entire system is assembled on a mobile stand construction. Fully encased design Non-encased design GATE Search coils of type MDP Plus-R 8.4 or MDP Plus-R 12 are used depending on the nominal width (NW) of the pipes: Search coil NW 50 NW 55 NW 65 MDP Plus-R 8.4 MDP Plus-R 12 OPERATING SENSITIVITY In addition to magnetic metal particles, high-alloy steels and non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, aluminum, lead, etc.) are also detected. The operating sensitivity of products with a high product effect (all moist, conductive products) is greatly dependent on the product characteristics such as temperature, moisture, salt content, type of conveyance, lumpiness of product additives etc. 1
OUTPUT Different outputs Q [m 3 /n] can be achieved depending on the speed of conveyance v [m/s] and the nominal width of the guide pipe. NW 50 NW 55 NW 65 v max [m/s] 0,5 0,5 0,4 Q [m 3 /n] 3,5 4,0 5,0 Note: Higher conveyance speeds can be achieved in special designs on request. PRODUCT GUIDE PIPE The standard version of a non-conductive product guide pipe is a POLYACETAL pipe with filler-specific connection fittings. SYSTEM PRESSURE FOR POLYACETAL PIPES The maximum permitted system pressure depends on the product and cleaning medium temperature and the nominal width. Temperature Search coil NW 50 NW 55 NW 65 0-20 C MDP Plus-R 8.4 50 bar 40 bar 20 bar 45 C MDP Plus-R 8.4 40 bar 32 bar 16 bar 85 C MDP Plus-R 8.4 25 bar 20 bar 10 bar Note: Short-term peak pressures may exceed the permitted permanent operating pressure by 100%. FLANGES According to customer requirements, various flanges are available both for the product guide pipe and for the rejection device (for information on this see also flange dimensional drawing). REJECTION DEVICE (optional) It is recommended that the slide valve (ASV) is used as the rejection device. This is well suited for the following requirements. Filler-specific connection fittings are available. Homogenous liquid and viscous mass Liquid and viscous mass with soft solids 2 mm Liquid and viscous mass with soft, fibrous and hard solids 15 mm Cavity free (almost) Slide valve (ASV) Available diameter [mm] 50, 65 The complete exchange of remaining product in the rejection path is achieved by rejection that must be carried out periodically. The rejection device is operated pneumatically. The operating pressure that is available must be 6 bar. STAND CONSTRUCTION The stand construction is produced entirely from blasted stainless steel. The use of lockable guide rollers means that it is easy to move the entire system to where it is needed. The inclination of the device can be adjusted to the on-site conditions using a clampable hinge. CE MARKING Declaration of conformity according to the EMC Directive (2004/108/EC).
