Incentives for Energy Efficient Lighting (Effective August 8, 2015 through December 15, 2015 * ) Energy Trust offers cash incentives to help you implement approved energy efficient lighting measures. If you are interested in applying for these incentives, then contact us today using the information at the bottom of the page for application information or visit our website at www.energytrust.org. Lighting projects must be reviewed and pre-qualified to apply for Energy Trust incentives. It is important that you contact us and take all required steps for incentive application pre-qualification prior to beginning any equipment purchase or installation activities that may disqualify your project from receiving incentives. Lighting Project Specifications & Requirements The following lists provide technical specifications for certain lighting products. Not all products listed qualify for Energy Trust incentives. To qualify for incentives, products must also pass Energy Trust cost-effectiveness criteria and meet other program requirements: See http://www.cee1.org/com/com-lt/lamps-ballasts.xls or http://library.cee1.org/content/reduced-wattage-t8- specification for CEE High-performance and Reduced Wattage 4' T8 Lamp and Ballast Qualifying Lists See the following Qualified Product Lists (QPL) for each category of LED product: o QPL for LED fixtures (except recessed canister downlights) - Design Lights Consortium (DLC): http://www.designlights.org/qpl o QPL for LED recessed canister downlights & other (Certified Light Fixtures) ENERGY STAR : http://www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-light-fixtures/ o QPL for LED lamps (Certified Light Bulbs) ENERGY STAR : http://www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-light-bulbs/ Alternate QPL for LED lamps, fixtures, and downlights Lighting Design Lab (LDL): https://www.lightingdesignlab.com/led-qualified-products-list-and-submission The following requirements apply to lighting projects: Ballast or driver and lamp combinations must be compatible. Lighting projects must have a simple payback (without incentives) of at least one year. Lighting projects must qualify for at least $100 in incentive funding in order to apply for Energy Trust incentives. All submitted projects are subject to an Energy Trust review, which will look at the measures in relation to Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) recommendations for minimum light levels and appropriate ratios for the customer s space type and functions. If light levels appear to meet minimum IES recommendations and the specified lighting wattages exceed the measure specifications listed below, Energy Trust will make the final determination as to whether a specified measure qualifies for prescriptive incentives (as listed below) or custom incentives. TLED: Trade ally (or installer) must verify the conditions of existing lampholders and replace damaged, corroded, and/or cracked lampholders. External Driver TLED versions: labeling is recommended to indicate the fixture has been retrofitted with a TLED and fluorescent lamps should not be installed as replacements. Internal Driver TLED versions: must affix a label in a prominent location on the interior of the fixture in compliance with UL requirements. The label must indicate the fixture has been retrofitted with a TLED and fluorescent lamps should not be installed as replacements. The maximum incentive provided by Energy Trust for any custom lighting incentive will never exceed 25 per kwh saved or 50% of total eligible line item cost. Additional requirements may apply. Contact us for details. * Subject to change without notice Program Information 190L v2015.2 150701 Page 1 of 5
