USE AND CARE INFORMATION Check the accessory mounts frequently and retighten if necessary. Use a 1A fuse for replacement of the fuse of this accessory harness. Do not use any other fuse for replacement. Use a 7.5A fuse for replacement of the fuse of the Relay set. Do not use any other fuse for replacement. Use is possible up to a power input rating of 12 W (12 V, 1 A). Use with a running engine to prevent draining the battery. Switch the headlight to low beam. When used with the high beam setting it may empty the battery. Do not use a cigarette lighter, since this can cause a malfunction. When the accessory socket is not used, cover the socket with the cap to prevent entry of foreign objects. Please note that using the device while driving can lead to a malfunction, or it may drop off because of vibrations. Added accessories can affect a motorcycle s stability, performance and safe riding speed. INSTALLATION INFORMATION CAUTION: To prevent scalding, allow the engine, exhaust system, radiator, etc., to cool before installing the accessory. NOTE: The following accessories (sold separately) are required to install this accessory: <NC700X/XA/XD> Relay set (P/N 08A70-MGS-D30) Sub harness (P/N 08A71-MGS-D30) <NC700S/SA/SD> Relay set (P/N 08A70-MGS-D30) Sub harness (P/N 08A71-MGS-D10) The Relay set is not required for the motorcycle equipped with the Relay set. The Sub harness is not required for the motorcycle Reinstall the removed parts on the motorcycle and make sure that the wires and harnesses are not pinched. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before installing this accessory. The memory of the clock will be erased when you disconnect the battery. Reset the clock after reconnecting the battery. Trim the excess ends off the wire ties after attaching them to the wire harnesses. Do not allow the cut part of the wire tie to interfere with another harness or brake pipe. When replacing the accessory that is required to install this accessory, follow the instructions described in this installation instructions. P.3 ACC SOCKET INSTALLATION <NC700S/SA/SD>...P.7 PREPARING THE RELAY SET Illustration shows NC700XA type, other types are similar. These procedures are not required for the motorcycle equipped with the Relay set. 1. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts, and disconnect the negative cable from the battery. SCREW 2. Remove the fuse box cover as shown. FUSE BOX COVER MAINTENANCE LID NEGATIVE CABLE 2 of 10

3. Install the relay and fuse in the position shown. FUSE FUSE 2. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts. LEFT AIR DUCT SCREW RELAY RELAY ACC SOCKET INSTALLATION <NC700X/XA/XD> 1. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts, and disconnect the negative cable from the battery. SINGLE SEAT 3. Remove the clip and open the front part of the left seat cowl slightly as shown. PILLION SEAT Open. LEFT SEAT COWL 3 of 10

4. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts. S 6. Drill a 30 mm hole along the factory marked line on the side of the luggage box using an electric drill and hole saw. Remove any burrs from the edge of the hole. Mark with an awl in the position shown. SCREW 15 mm 15 mm FACTORY MARKED LINE AWL S LEFT SIDE COVER 5. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts. FACTORY MARKED LINE ELECTRIC DRILL (30 mm HOLE SAW) Drill at the marked point. 7. Install the ACC socket as shown. CONNECTOR Disconnect. CAP Close the cap when it is not used. LEFT FRONT SIDE COWL SOCKET RING ACC SOCKET 4 of 10

8. Release the motorcycle s 6-pin waterproof connector as shown. 10. Secure the 6-pin waterproof connector with an electrical tape as shown. ELECTRICAL TAPE Secure the 6-pin waterproof connector to the motorcycle s harness. 6-PIN WATERPROOF CONNECTOR MOTORCYCLE S 6-PIN WATERPROOF CONNECTOR MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS 9. Connect the sub harness as shown. 11. Connect the ACC harness as shown. MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS ACC HARNESS 5 of 10

12. Cover the connectors with the harness boot as shown. 14. Bundle the socket harness and secure it with the wire tie as shown. MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS ACC HARNESS SOCKET HARNESS WIRE TIE Secure the socket harness to the motorcycle s harness. 15. Attach the caution label in the position shown. 13. Secure each harness with the wire tie as shown. CAUTION LABEL Before attaching, thoroughly clean the area where the caution label will be attached. MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS 16. Install the motorcycle s parts in the reverse order of removal. Confirm that the harness is not caught or too tight. WIRE TIE Included in the Sub harness. Secure the harness boot to the motorcycle s harness. 6 of 10

ACC SOCKET INSTALLATION <NC700S/SA/SD> 1. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts, and disconnect the negative cable from the battery. 3. Remove the clip and open the front part of the left seat cowl slightly as shown. Repeat on the right side. SINGLE SEAT WASHER PILLION SEAT Open. LEFT SEAT COWL 4. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts. Repeat on the right side. 2. Refer to the Service Manual for the motorcycle, remove the motorcycle parts. Repeat on the right side. LEFT SIDE COVER LEFT SHELTER 7 of 10

5. Drill a 30 mm hole along the factory marked line on the side of the luggage box using an electric drill and hole saw. Remove any burrs from the edge of the hole. 7. Release the motorcycle s 6-pin waterproof connector as shown. Mark with an awl in the position shown. 15 mm 15 mm FACTORY MARKED LINE AWL FACTORY MARKED LINE MOTORCYCLE S 6-PIN WATERPROOF CONNECTOR 8. Connect the sub harness as shown. ELECTRIC DRILL (30 mm HOLE SAW) Drill at the marked point. 6. Install the ACC socket as shown. ACC SOCKET MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS SOCKET RING CAP Close the cap when it is not used. 8 of 10

9. Pull the sub harness as shown. HINGE BRACKET 11. Connect the ACC harness as shown. SOCKET HARNESS Position in the hinge bracket. ACC HARNESS 10. Secure the 6-pin waterproof connector with an electrical tape as shown. 12. Cover the connectors with the harness boot as shown. WIRE TIE (narrow) Included in the Sub harness. Secure the ACC harness to the sub harness. 6-PIN WATERPROOF CONNECTOR ACC HARNESS ELECTRICAL TAPE Secure the sub harness to the motorcycle s harness. MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS ELECTRICAL TAPE 9 of 10

13. Secure the sub harness with the wire tie as shown. WIRE TIE (short) Included in the Sub harness. Secure the sub harness to the motorcycle s harness. 15. Attach the caution label in the position shown. CAUTION LABEL Before attaching, thoroughly clean the area where the caution label will be attached. MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS 14. Bundle and secure each harness as shown. 16. Install the motorcycle s parts in the reverse order of removal. Confirm that the harness is not caught or too tight. WIRE TIE Secure the socket harness to the motorcycle s harness. MOTORCYCLE S HARNESS WIRE TIE (long) Included in the Sub harness. Secure the socket harness, sub harness and harness boot to the motorcycle s harness. 10 of 10
