FOCUS: 2 MOTION AND 4 MOTION DRIVE MOTORS Panien has been THE reference for drive axle solutions for more than 60 years. For different applications it gives you several benefits such as more traction or less fuel consumption. The drive axles can be switched on or off during application. MOUNTING TYPE TWO TRANSMISSION TYPES Mechanical transmission TP series: Mounted on a tandem chassis The drive is activated either by proportional tractor PTO or by the standard PTO (540 or 1000 rpm): Drive axle operating speed 0-9 km/h; Locked speed (to be defined with the customer depending on the tractor type). Hydromechanical transmission DP series: mounted on hydraulic suspension. A variable capacity pump supplies a hydraulic motor, which powers the drive axle(s). A control unit in the cab to adjust the speed and the driving direction. Drive axle operating speed 0-9 km/h MATERIALS The bodies are made of wear-resistant steel with 8 mm floor and 6 mm side walls (HARDOX 450). For even more stability the body is designed with several reinforcements and is continuously welded. The longitudinal beams of our chassis are all made of welded steel with U-profiles. TP series: leaf spring suspension. UNDERCARRIAGE Our dump trailers are equipped with strong axles for tough applications. Benefits: Safe drive on the road due to the dimensions and the brake system The hydraulic brake system has a safety device in case of a drawbar brakedown. DP series: standard hydraulic suspension. 04 Traditional TP series A PRODUCT RANGE MADE FOR EXCAVATION WORK AND ROAD CONSTRUCTION Undercarriage The tandem chassis is designed with 25 mm strong leaf springs which provides the necessary stability during tipping. The chassis is bolted on a large dimensioned reinforced plate. The large suspension travel guarantees extremely good off-road capabilities. Tilting A central mounted hydraulic cylinder underneath the body tilts up to an angle of 60 with oil supply from the tractor. Tailgate One piece tailgate (removable) controlled by protected double acting hydraulic cylinders.

06 DP series Heavy duty dump trailer A PRODUCT RANGE DESIGNED FOR HEAVY HAULING IN SEVERE OFF-ROAD OPERATION Undercarriage The axles of the tandem chassis have a 150 mm beam size. They are guided by a triangular control arm with ball joints. With hydraulic suspension and transversal slope control. Optional: Axles blocked during unloading. Tipping mechanism Two double acting hydraulic cylinders on the sides of the body. They are bedded on ball joints with oil supply from the tractor. This enables tipping under tough conditions. The tapered design and a tipping angle of up to 75 enable a perfect material flow even with sticky material. Standard: transversal slope control. Tailgate Pendular tailgate controlled by single acting hydraulic cylinders.
