A. Remote Deflector Control: Sets nd locks in the ngle of the chute deflector. B. Reverse Motion Option (RMO) (If equipped): The Reverse Mowing Option llows for mowing (or use of other PTO driven ttchments) while trveling in reverse. If you choose to operte the snowthrower in reverse, turn the RMO key fter the PTO is engged. The L.E.D. light will illuminte, nd you cn then trvel in reverse with the PTO engged. Ech time the PTO is disengged the RMO needs to e rectivted if desired. 14 FH C. Throttle: Sets engine speed. Alwys use FULL throttle. D. PTO Switch: Engges nd disengges the snowthrower. E. Electric Chute Rottor Switch: Rottes the chute right nd left. F. Attchment Lift: Rises nd lowers the snowthrower for trnsport. G. Mid / Rer PTO Selector (Select Models Only): Selects front, rer or oth PTO s. Select forwrd position for snowthrower use. H. Front / Rer Hydrulics Selector Switch: Selects inord or uxiliry hydrulics. Select forwrd position for snowthrower use.

Opertion DANGER Do not clen out dischrge chute with hnds. Contct with moving prts inside chute will cuse serious injury. Use clen out tool. Use the following procedure to remove ojects or cler the chute: 1. Stop the engine. Remove the key 2. Wit 10 seconds to e sure the uger/impeller ldes hve stopped rotting. 3. Alwys use clen-out tool. DO NOT use your hnds. WARNING Perform the Sfety System Interlock test found in your trctor Opertor s Mnul. If trctor does not pss the test, do not operte the trctor. See your uthorized deler. Under no circumstnces should you ttempt to defet the sfety system. Checks Before Strting 1. Refer to the Mintennce & Adjustments section of this mnul nd perform ny needed service. Also, refer to the trctor Opertor s Mnul nd perform ny required service. 2. Remove ny ojects from the work re which might e cught in, or thrown y, the uger. 3. Before strting the engine, cler the uger of ny ice which my cuse dmge to the unit. 4. Adjust the deflector nd skid shoes to desired height. See Skid Shoe Adjustment. 5. Mke sure ll hrdwre is present nd secure. Trnsporting 1. Disengge the electric clutch nd then rise the snowthrower. 2. Adjust ground speed ccording to surfce conditions. 3. Select low ground speed when trnsporting on slippery surfce. Engine & Ground Speed Selection Alwys run the engine t full throttle. Normlly, low ground speed is est for throwing snow. The deeper or hevier the snow, the slower the recommended ground speed. Strting & Stopping 1. Strt the trctor engine. Set engine throttle t full speed. 2. Lower the snowthrower. 3. Engge the electric clutch switch. Snowthrower uger should rotte. Disengge the electric clutch switch. snowthrower uger should stop. 4. Select the proper ground speed. 5. To stop the trctor, depress the clutch/rke pedl. To stop the snowthrower, disengge the electric clutch. Before leving the set, stop the engine, disengge the electric clutch, set the prking rke, remove the key, nd wit for ll moving prts to stop. 15

Opertion Storge Snow Removl Suggestions WARNING If uger does not strt nd stop when engging/ disengging electric clutch, see your uthorized deler. Under no circumstnces should you ttempt to defet the sfety system. WARNING If the uger stlls or the chute plugs: To sfely cler clogged dischrge chute, follow these instructions: 1. Shut OFF the engine. 2. Wit 10 seconds to e sure the impeller ldes hve stopped rotting. 3. Alwys use clen-out tool, not your hnds. CAUTION Alwys rise the snowthrower efore turning or cking up, to prevent dmge to the unit. Determine the est snow removl pttern efore eginning. Wind direction is n importnt fctor to consider. Rotte the spout to dischrge snow downwind. Pln the pttern so tht you void throwing snow on clered res nd on yourself s you re operting. When lnd contour permits, it is est to trvel in the longest direction to minimize turning. In very deep or hevy snow, it my e necessry to mke the first pss with snowthrower prtilly rised, cking up every few feet to cler the snow left on the surfce. Also, it my e necessry to slice off less thn the full width of the uger or reduce ground speed. If snow stops flowing freely from the spout, ck wy until the snowthrower clers itself. Dily Storge 1. Disengge the electric clutch nd then rise the snowthrower. 2. Adjust ground speed ccording to surfce conditions. 3. Select low ground speed when trnsporting on slippery surfce. Off-Seson Storge WARNING To prevent n explosion or fire, never store the trctor with fuel in the tnk inside uilding where n ignition source is present. 1. Remove snowthrower from the trctor. Hitch cn remin instlled if other ttchments re to e used. 2. Use wter pressure or rush to thoroughly clen the housing. 3. Pint, or lightly cot with oil, ny re where pint hs een worn or chipped wy. 4. Luricte the snowthrower. 5. Store the snowthrower nd hitch in dry plce. 16

Mintennce WARNING To void serious injury, perform mintennce on the trctor or snowthrower only when the engine is stopped, prking rke is set nd ll moving prts hve stopped. Alwys remove the ignition key efore eginning mintennce or djustments to prevent ccidentl strting of the engine. Luricte Snowthrower In generl, linkge connections nd other prts tht hve prtil rottionl or sliding movement should e luricted periodiclly with SAE 30 weight oil. Avoid pplying excessive mounts of oil or grese since this my cuse uildup of dirt round the luricted re, mking susequent luriction more difficult to ccomplish.
