The HAMMAR 160 Series has proved its worth since 1974 and has been developed with the focus on simplicity and reliability. The 160 Series has the lowest tare weight of all our range. The 160 Series was the first in the world with a lifting capacity of 33 tons as standard and with its ingeniously simpel construction, it is possibly the most reliable and service-friendly of all our models. HAMMAR 160 S is the world s lightest 20 40 sideloader and therefore has the highest payload. E-CHASSIS HAMMAR 160 E. The rear crane has an extended slide and in a 45 position it is pushed out behind the trailer frame. The underrun protection is mechanically fastened to the crane, thus ensuring that it remains far back on the trailer. When the cranes are moved back to a 20 or 40 position, the underrun protection follows the crane forward again and is locked into the correct position.
