Cooling Efficiency Rebte Business Appliction Rebte rules nd requirements Qulifying customers The Xcel Energy Cooling Efficiency progrm is vilble to Xcel Energy business electric customers in. Cooling rebte rules Xcel Energy offers csh rebte to customers who purchse nd instll qulifying cooling equipment. Qulifying levels re detiled in this ppliction nd must be verified by mnufcturer or ARI specifictions. Xcel Energy expects tht the customer will operte energy efficient equipment t the mnufcturer s specified efficiency levels. Xcel Energy reserves the right to limit ny rebte or mke djustments to correct incentive clcultions if necessry. Rebtes pply only to new cooling equipment. Used, rebuilt or refurbished equipment is not eligible for Cooling Efficiency rebtes. Documents estblishing proof of purchse (invoice) must be furnished when the originl rebte ppliction is completed. If not indicted on the invoice, plese dd the number of units instlled, mnufcturer, model number nd cpcity (in tons). Unless otherwise indicted on the rebte form ll efficiencies must be rted t the most recent ARI stndrds. No rebtes will be provided for bckup systems. Bckup systems re defined s seprte chiller tht is required only when one of the primry chillers fil. Cooling equipment must use minimum ozone-depleting refrigernt such s R-410A, R-123 nd R-134. If equipment efficiency is in SEER where the ppliction sks for EER, multiply SEER by 0.855 to clculte EER rting. Direct evportive cooling requirements Unit is permnently instlled; portble coolers re not eligible. Rebte bsed on CFM of irflow. Unit CFM should be t 0.1 sttic pressure. VSDs on chillers Applictions must include originl chiller specifictions nd mnufcturer s VSD performnce specifictions (for centrifugl chillers only). Enclosed rech-in cses Existing cse must be either freezer or cooler multi-deck cse. Existing specilty, self-contined, nd islnd cses do not qulify. This mesure is for replcement of open cses with new cses tht include cse door. Replcement cses must hve doors, be tied into centrl refrigertion system, nd be purchsed new. Wter cooled centrifugl chiller rebte rules Include the mnufcturer s dt sheet with the rebte ppliction for chillers. The dt sheet should include full lod efficiency, prt lod efficiencies nd testing conditions. Test conditions should be t design conditions. Economizer rules RTU economizers must be enthlpy controlled nd hve CO2 controls to qulify for our Cooling Efficiency economizer rebtes. Documenttion tht both control methods re in plce is required. The RTU itself must be new but does not need to qulify for Cooling Efficiency rebte for you to qulify for our economizer rebtes. Generl Xcel Energy rebte rules Rebte plns re vilble to existing Xcel Energy direct-billed commercil nd industril electric customers in only. Customers hve 12 months from the equipment invoice dte to pply for Cooling Efficiency rebte. No rebtes will be given for equipment or designs tht do not comply with Xcel Energy Cooling Efficiency rebte progrm rules or locl, stte or federl regultions. This rebte form nd these stndrds go into effect Jnury 1, 2017 nd supersede ll previous progrm mterils. This rebte progrm will be in effect for n indefinite period. The customer is responsible for checking with Xcel Energy to determine whether the progrm is still in effect. Xcel Energy reserves the right to inspect instlltions before nd fter issuing rebtes. Xcel Energy is not responsible for ny lost, lte, stolen, ineligible, illegible, misdirected or postge due mil. All completed submissions become the property of Xcel Energy nd will not be returned.
