Upper Chamber Cover Seal Standard HNBR O-Ring. 3. Upper to Lower Chamber Seal Standard HNBR O-Ring. 4. Plug Shaft Seal Plug shaft seals consist of teflon rings. Shaft packing adjustment is achieved by turning the two gland bolts located on each shaft evenly. This configuration provides smooth shaft operation. 5. Lower Chamber Cover Seal Standard HNBR O-Ring. 6. Flange Taps Standard 1/2 NPT connections. 7. Orifice Plate Seal The orifice plate seal is HNBR material bonded to a stainless steel metal insert. This insert retains seal shape, ensuring no protrusion into the bore. The Sure Shot Seal Ring design provides a positive seal against the orifice plate and the upstream fitting seat. This conforms to AGA 3/API 14.3 and ISO-5167 requirements. 8. Eccentric Plug The use of the eccentric plug provides a bubble tight seal, fewer parts and less maintenance. 9. Seat to Upper Chamber Seal Standard HNBR O-Ring. 10. Equalizer & Bleed Valves Standard 1/2 NPT equalizer and bleed valves provide reliable fitting operation. 11. Gear Shaft Seal Gear shaft seals consist of teflon rings. Shaft packing adjustment is achieved by turning the two gland bolts located on each shaft evenly. This configuration provides smooth shaft operation. 2
Sure Shot Dual Chamber Orifice fittings fully conform to the latest AGA 3/API 14.3 stringent requirements. They require no added uncertainty and provide accurate performance over the orifice plate beta ratio range from 0.1 to 0.75 within 0.5% flow accuracy to theoretical value. AGA 3/API 14.3 Requirements Concentricity Requirements The latest AGA 3/API 14.3 has significantly more stringent concentricity requirements. The Sure Shot fitting s unique plate centering guarantees minimum eccentricity without cumbersome trial and error. Three point plate carrier locating pins ensure repeatable and accurate centering. These pins are factory set. Protrusion & Recesses Seal recesses must meet much tighter specifications with no protrusions in the fitting bore. If these requirements are not met, limitations may be required on maximum beta ratio and/or additional uncertainty must be added. If A is less than 0.25 there are no restrictions placed on the seal ring recesses. The Sure Shot Gap is less than 0.25 on both sides of the orifice plate. Therefore, No Restriction and No Additional Uncertainty need be added. Fitting Pressure Ratings: ANSI Class 150 (285 PSI CWP) ANSI Class 300 (740 PSI CWP) ANSI Class 600 (1480 PSI CWP) Standard Materials of Construction: Body Material - A-216 WCB / WCC Note: Consult factory for any other fitting body material. Flange Ratings ANSI Class 150 to ANSI Class 600 inclusive. Fitting End Connections F x W, F x F Note: RTJ Flange facing available upon request. Bore Diameter & Finish Bore diameter tolerance and finish meet or exceed API 14.3 requirements. Unique Standard Feature Safety Lock Special spring loaded plunger locks eccentric plug in closed position to help prevent accidental opening while upper chamber is open. The Safety Lock also provides precise open and closed positioning of plug. The Safety Lock indicates proper carrier location when lock is in closed position. Conforms to the following industry standards: AGA 3/API 14.3, ISO-5167 ANSI B31.3, MSS SP-55, ANSI B16.5 Sure Shot fittings Conform to NACE MR-01-75-2000 Operating Range: Sizes 2 thru 16 ANSI Class 150, 300, & 600 Temperature -20 F to 275 F (-29 C. to 120 C.) Schedule 40 and schedule 80 standard. Note: Consult factory for larger sizes and other operating conditions. Quality Check: Hydrostatic test 1-1/2 times rated CWP.
