Introduction Thank you for purchasing a Harvest Tec Model 664 Hay Preservative Applicator. This 664 applicator system has been designed to plug directly into most tractors that have an ISOBUS Monitor. If you do not have an ISOBUS Monitor you will need to send in the Touch Screen Display (TSD 006-5670) for a software update. The 664 Applicator System offers these advantages: 1. Operation coordinated with baler operation 2. Less cab clutter providing better visibility if using the baler or tractor ISOBUS monitor 3. Ease of use with all information on one screen 4. Records kept together 5. System is ready for future updates. This manual will take you through the steps for installing the update to the automatic applicator. If you are unsure about installing the system after consulting this manual, please contact your local authorized dealership for additional assistance. If you are in need of parts for the system please see the parts breakdown in the back of this manual and contact your local authorized dealer to order the parts. This applicator is designed to apply Harvest Tec buffered propionic acid. Right and Left sides are determined by facing in the direction of forward travel. System Requirements If your tractor does not have an ISOBUS Monitor you will need to have the Touch Screen Display updated. Please contact Harvest Tec 1 800 635 7468 Tools Needed: - Standard wrench set - Side cutter 4

1. Installation of Dual Channel Processor (DCP) The Dual Channel Processor (DCP) has the same bolt pattern as the Precision Information Processor (PIP) you will be removing. The location of the main controller does not change so use the same holes and install the new Dual Channel Processor (DCP) in the same location with two 5/16 x 1 bolts, two 5/16 x 1-1/4 bolts, locks, fender washers and hex nuts. Mount the DCP/PIP cover over the top of the DCP and secure with the hardware using the 5/16 x 1-1/4 bolts on the top with the DCP/PIP shield. 2. Installation of the Main Power/Communication Harness to the Baler Terminator Connection at the right rear of the baler. Remove the old Power and Communication harnesses from the baler and route the new DCP Baler Power/Communication Harness (006-6650LS2) along this path or similar inside the baler. Keep harnesses away from moving parts and hydraulic hoses. Secure with existing cable clamps or use cable ties. When all connections are made to the DCP secure wires as shown below to allow for water to be shed away from the DCP. 3. Setting up the Tractor Remove the old Power and Communication harnesses from the tractor and route the new DCP Tractor Power/Communication Harness (006-6650TM) along the same path. Attach the ISO Adapter (006-6670A) connecting to the ISOBUS Plug and the opposite end to the DCP Tractor Harness (006-6670TM). Secure harnesses to allow for water to be shed away from the tractor plug. If the tractor is not ISOBUS compatible attach the updated Touch Screen Display (TSD) 006-5670 in place of the ISO Adapter and attach the orange wire to a keyed switch. The wiring diagram and pin outs on the following pages can be of assistance in making the necessary connections. 6

Tractor Harness/Wiring Installation for Systems Using Tractors ISOBUS Display 1 Locate the tractor power/communication harness (006-6650TM). 2 From the back of the tractor run the power leads to the battery and run the communication lead to the ISOBUS plug. 3 Connect the red power wire with the 50 amp fuse to the positive side (12 volt) of the battery. a. The power harness must be connected to the battery! The unit will draw more amps than convenience outlets can handle. Any modifications of the power harness will void systems warranty. IF MODIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED CONTACT HARVEST TEC FIRST! b. This unit will not function on positive ground tractors. c. If the unit loses power while operating it will not keep track of accumulated pounds of product used and bale records. 4 Connect the black ground wire to frame of tractor or negative side of (12 volt) battery. 5 Attach ISOBUS connector (006-6670A) to the end of the Communication Harness (006-6650TM). 6 Connect the orange wires. 7 Attach the plug to the tractor s ISOBUS port.
