TEST ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS 5.1. Assessment of armor-piercing ability of aunition for the small arms was performed during test pursuant to GOST В 23958-91 Armored steel plates and parts for them. Test Regulations for anti-bullet resistance, OST В 84-1980-82 Powder and propellant charges for artillery, mortar and grenade launcher rounds. Ballistic test methods, OST ВЗ 1634-72 External ballistic test determination methods and Comparison methods of aunition armorpiercing ability for the small arms, approved on 22.09.2016 by the Head of the CRI AMH of the AF of Ukraine. 5.2. Environmental conditions. Ambient temperature -+18..+22 С. Air humidity - 70-75%. Barometric pressure - 738 of mercury column. 5.3. While testing, the armored plates were fastened on a bench; they were installed on rotary table to provide for the bullet collision preset angle with an obstacle. Special optical device with properly certified goniometer was used to determine the collision angle. Specimen installation error didn t exceed 0.5. 5.4. Prior testing persons involved into test procedure were familiarized with the safety precautions instruction valid at the ballistic sector. Regular riflemen of the ballistic sector were shooting. Testing persons were at a shelter during every shot. Measuring devices and other equipment were prepared pursuant to operational instructions. 5.5. Prior to shot the specimen was marked by a marker or any contrasting paint. After a shot places and numbers of bullet hits were marked by a marker or any contrasting paint. 5.6. Invalid hits were considered as follows: bullet hit at edge of the armored plate or at the distance less than one caliber (at barrel caliber); nonstandard hits at distance from hit edge to neighboring hit edge less than one caliber (at barrel caliber); bullets subsequent hits to previous hits. Shot considered invalid were repeated.
