OUR COATING APPLICATION METHODS 7/22 OUR COATING APPLICATION METHODS - Flow coating or curtain coating Used mainly on high-speed, conveyorized production line for coating flat substrates. The coating material is pumped to and flows from a slotted pipe, from which it falls by gravity in an unbroken waterfall or curtain. The objects passing under the curtain are coated, one or two sides with the same coating. Excess coating material collects in a gutter and returns to the reservoir to be reused. Flow rates and conveyor speeds control coating thickness. Depending on the coating, the coated objects are cured by UV and/or Infra Red or in the oven. In our coating Line, we coat transparent plastic sheets: max. dimensions: 3500mm x 2050mm, thickness 0,75mm to 8mm In our cleanroom we flow coat smaller plastic objects, mainly injected moulded visors 8/22 4
OUR COATING APPLICATION METHODS - Dip coating Dip coating, involves immersing products to be painted in a tank of coating material, draining off the excess in a solvent-saturated atmosphere and then drying or curing. It is a fast and efficient method that provides coverage in recessed areas. Dip coating or spin-dip-coating is done in our cleanroom, mainly plastic displays. COATING CATEGORIES - Scratch resistant AS (several qualities) - Fog resistant AF (several qualities) - UV resistant - Food approved - Chemically resistant - Thermoformable AS and AF - all our coatings are REACH compliant - Several coating suppliers 11/22 RANGE OF FUNCTIONAL COATINGS SCRATCH RESISTANT COATING : 1022 Z3 This Hardcoat offers both UV protection and scratch resistance and is food approved. In addition to excellent scratch-resistance, 1022 Z3 hardcoat has very good chemical resistance, remaining unaffected by brief exposure to common household and industrial chemicals which can sometimes seriously degrade bare plastic surfaces. Sensitive polymers, such as PC and SAN, are well protected from solvent attack. 12/22 6
RANGE OF FUNCTIONAL COATINGS SCRATCH RESISTANT COATING : UVHC 3000K This coating is designed to give optimum weathering, chemical and abrasion protection to plastic. Provides also easy-to-clean properties. Adhesion to many plastic substrates, PC, SAN, PMMA, PET 13/22 RANGE OF FUNCTIONAL COATINGS THERMOFORMABLE COATINGS : 1021 Z3 This Hardcoat offers both UV protection and scratch resistance. 7010 Z1 This coating has an anti-fog performance and is chemical and UV resistant. Both thermoformable coatings are applied on big plastic sheets, mostly PC. These coatings meet the EN 166 standard. Basic requirements for all types of eye and face protection 14/22 7

REQUIREMENTS FOR COATING PROCESS 17/22 -REQUIREMENTS FOR COATING PROCESS - Unprinted light-adhesive foil (no glue) - UV and/ir curable coatings for our coating Line - In order to guarantee a good adhesion of the coating, the plastic sheet/object need to be clean, dust free. - AF coated sheets can never be a stock item : as the AF coating need to be able to breath, the protective foil need to be removed as quickly as possible. 18/22 9
