T3 Motion T3 Series ESV Preventive Maintenance Guide

Purpose Overview information: Basic preventive maintenance for T3 series Electric Standup Vehicle, for optimum operation and longevity of Vehicle. ALWAYS TURN OFF POWER BREAKER IN GLOVE BOX AND REMOVE POWER MODULES BEFORE PERFORMING ANY ELECTRICAL WORK. Power breaker in glove box Power modules ALSO SET THE PARKING BRAKE PRIOR TO ANY WORK. Parking brake Serious electrical shock can occur if precautions are not followed. 1

Steps for performing Drive Belt and Front Tire PM Drive Belt maintenance is recommended on a monthly basis, based on normal riding conditions. Riding terrain may affect check up frequency Remove front fender using a 5/32 hex bit Primary and Secondary Drive Belts Condition of Belts - Check for cracked belts - Check for debree inside belts (teeth), debree inside belts might cause rapture or tearing - Check tesion on belts - Check pulley teeth for deformation; if teeth are sharpened, the pulley needs replacement 2

- Check tire pressure, 25psi recommended - Refer to illustrations below for condition on front tire replacement - New thread on tire - Acceptable thread on tire, about 50% worn out - Worn out tire, replace as soon as possible 3

Steps for performing RearTire PM Tire pressure check should be performed on weekly basis. Weather temperature may affect changes in tire pressure - Using a pressure gauge mesure rear tire pressure, 25 psi recommended - Check tire thread for un even wear, or any tears or punctures If punctures occure, remove tire using a 7/16 hex bit, repair tire or if desired order a new tire. - New thread on tire - Acceptable thread on tire, about 50% worn out - Worn out tire, replace as soon as possible 4

Steps for performing Brake Fluid PM - Check fluid level through eye glass Brake Fluid level check up recommended on monthly basis, unless issue and leakage from brake system - Top off brake fluid to this point, using DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID ONLY. Then replace reservoir cap and Phillips screws - If brake fluid is low, remove master cylinder lid using a Phillips screw driver Steps for performing Brakes PM Brakes should be inspected on monthly basis. Accidents involving the rear wheels may affect brake alignment, if this occurs, check brakes immediately, look for possible leaks. Brake pads have an estimated life span of 3000 miles under normal riding conditions - Using a 7/16 hex bit, loosen lug bolts on tire 5

- Remove tire from vehicle - Check disc and calipers, make sure brake pads are aligned and that there are not deformations on disc - Check for any leaks on bleeder valve 6

POWER MODULE WARNINGS DANGER! RISK OF POWER MODULE EXPLOSION MAY RESULT IN BLINDNESS, SERIOUS INJURY, PERMANENT DISFIGUREMENT AND SCARRING. Power modules can explode under abnormal conditions, such as short circuited, over charging, or malfunction of charger. In order to reduce the risk of these dangers and injury, it is of the utmost importance that each time before using your charger, you read and understand this manual, and any warnings and instructions by the power module manufacturer. Follow these instructions exactly. CAUTIONS: 1. Storage ALWAYS store power modules, and chargers in a ventilated dry room; under specified temperature range. Be sure area around power module and charger are well ventilated during charging process. 2. Avoid Flames and Sparks DO NOT put flammable material on or under power module and charger. DO NOT use near gasoline vapors. ALWAYS plug charger into an electrical outlet AFTER all connections have been made. See OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. If remove power modules from vehicle to charge, ALWAYS turn off main circuit breaker in the vehicle. 3. Follow Other Manufacturers' Recommendations Before using charger, read all instructions for, and caution markings on: (1) charger, (2) power module, and (3) related product using battery. Follow their recommended rate of charge. Battery Tendering Information Tendering the Power Modules (batteries) is the process of keeping the Power Modules in charged and proper operating order even when the T3 is not in use. It is the owner / operators responsibility to tender the Power Modules. It is extremely important to keep the T3 Power Modules tendered when the T3 vehicle is not in use, whether it is short term or long term storage. Failure to properly tender the T3 Power Modules may result in a significantly shortened life or permanent damage. The Power Modules MUST be checked and possibly recharged at least once every month especially when not in use. T3 Motion highly recommends monitoring the Power Module charge levels manually (by a person) biweekly if not monthly. Allowing the Power Modules to fully discharge without recharging them can cause permanent damage to them. The Power Modules can be stored in the T3 vehicle bays while being tendered, or they can be tendered while out of the T3. 7

The T3 Charger can be left connected to the Power Modules with the Charger power on even after the batteries have received a full charge. Leaving the Charger On after the batteries are charged uses additional electricity unnecessarily. T3 Motion recommends not leaving the Charger connected for extended periods of time when the batteries are fully charged. If the Charger is left plugged into the Power Module and on for an extended period of time, and the batteries drop to a very low level, the charger will automatically recharge them. However, T3 Motion strongly advises not to rely on this feature. T3 Motion recommends that the Charger should be disconnected from the Power Modules and turned off when not in use. 8
