Procedures are in place to prevent, control, clean-up and report any fuel releases at the only Ground Vehicle Fueling pump area. This procedure at contained in the Ramp handbook which is provided to all tenants, posted on line with the SWPPP and enforced by Airport Operations, Manager on duty (MOD) Airport facilities and the Pollution Prevention Team. Aircraft Sanitary Service Operations Is there evidence of (or potential for) pollutants entering the storm water system from the industrial area? No answers must list BMP revisions / corrective action required All waste hauling vehicles are permitted by the Santa Clara Department of Environmental Health. Procedures are in place to prevent, control, clean-up and report any lavatory releases during aircraft waste offloading, waste transport and disposal to the Sanitary waste collection Building (Biffy House) which is permitted to discharge directly to the San Jose Regional WWTP. This procedure is contained in the Ramp handbook which is provided to all tenants, posted on line with the SWPPP and enforced by Airport Operations, Manager on duty (MOD) Airport facilities and the Pollution Prevention Team.

Airport Standard Operating Procedures dictate that airport vehicles and equipment are washed inside the covered Fleet Maintenance Building Wash Rack and all tenant ground support vehicles are washed at the uncovered Ground Support Wash Rack which utilizes an Oil/Water separator prior to a direct discharge to the sanitary sewer system. These two wash racks are the only place where vehicles and equipment are authorized to be washed at the airport. No answers must list BMP revisions / corrective action required Secured lockers are designed for the storage of Paint related material and are utilized inside and outside of the Paint shop. Waste water generated during paint washing activities is collected through an existing Water Clarifier structure. Paint waste is transported to the Hazardous Materials Accumulation Area for proper disposal. Secured lockers are also utilized to store Vehicle Maintenance waste inside the Fleet Maintenance building. All fleet maintenance is conducted inside with waste materials stored in compliance with the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and are inspected on a monthly basis.

No answers must list BMP revisions / corrective action required Tenants are responsible (SWPPP and Ramp Handbook) for storing products in secondary containment during the course of normal operations. The majority of tenants have indoor and limited outdoor chemical storage areas. Chemicals, waste oil and deicing fluids are typically stored in 55-Gallon drums with other materials such as cleaners, paints and paint-related products stored in smaller original containers. Bulk material and equipment storage is located in the fenced and secured Maintenance Yard of the airport. Stored materials consist of Vehicles, wooden pallets, recycling drop bins for metal and woody debris. Recent upgrades include asphalt paving and installation of safe drains. III VERIFICATION 1. Inspect non-industrial areas of the airport to verify that the condition of no exposure in those areas has been maintained. List any exceptions observed or areas of industrial activity that are not included in the SWPPP. None noted during inspections 2.
