Masscentralisationplayedakeyrole.Theradiator,ratherthanbeingmountedatthe frontofthemachine,hasbeenbuiltintotheengineitselfforamuchsimpler,lighter (savingnearly1kginweight)andmoreefficientlayout.theelectronicallycontrolled ACGstarternotonlystartstheenginebutalsogenerateselectricity,doingawaywitha conventionalsystem smotorandgears.furtherconsolidationwithintheengine producedanetreductionofpartsby20,savingbothweightandproductioncosts.
AkeyfuelQsavingtechnologyisIdlingStop.It soperatedviaaswitchontheright handlebarand,whenenabled,automaticallystopstheenginerunningafterthree secondsatidle,andreqstartsitinstantlywhenthethrottlegripistwisted.it sseamless inuse,thankstoaswingqbacksystemthatreturnsthecranktoitspositionbeforeair intake,andadecompressionmechanismthatnegatescrankingresistancedueto compression.
