Imagination meets engineering The latest TDI engine technology, coupled with low weight and advanced aerodynamics, makes the new Audi A7 Sportback one of the most efficient cars in its class. Nowhere is that more apparent than in its BIK tax performance, where both the 3.0 TDI 204PS and 3.0 TDI 245PS quattro models significantly better Mercedes-Benz CLS models on benefit-in-kind tax in 2014/15. In fact, for a 40% tax payer, the six-cylinder Audi A7 Sportback 3.0 TDI will save over 550 a year on BIK tax liability compared with the Mercedes-Benz CLS 250 CDI, which uses a four-cylinder 2.5-litre CDI engine. Here, we show you how the Audi A7 Sportback both front-wheel drive and quattro derivatives compares with key competitors on BIK tax, operating costs and specification.
The A7 Sportback: technology for optimum efficiency The A7 Sportback: technology highlights Every Audi A7 Sportback uses the latest technology for optimum efficiency. From the latest generation FSI and TDI direct fuel injection technology to advanced lightweight construction materials, the A7 Sportback is engineered for low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, leading to reduced benefit-in-kind tax liabilities for company car drivers. Here are just some of the fuel and emissions-saving technologies which enable the Audi A7 to lead its class for low BIK taxation The latest direct fuel injection technology puts the A7 s engine range at the forefront of efficiency. A choice of engines comprises 3.0 TFSI 310PS quattro, 3.0 TDI 204PS, 3.0 TDI 245PS quattro and 3.0 BiTDI 313PS quattro, plus the scintillating 4.0 TFSI 420PS unit that powers the S7, and all combine innovative Audi thermal management, energy recuperation during coasting and braking and engine start-stop for optimum efficiency. The aluminium and steel body is approximately 15% lighter than all-steel competitors, while its dramatic flowing lines permit an impressive drag coefficient of 0.29Cd. To reduce power usage still further, energy efficient all-led headlights are available as an option. These units with their distinctive, almost daylight-like beams, incorporate special cornering, all-weather and motorway light configurations. With new engine load-reducing electromechanical power steering and the fuel-sparing multitronic transmission, 3.0 TDI 204PS models return combined fuel consumption of up to 55.4mpg 1, with CO2 emissions as low as 135g/km. A choice of four or five-seat interior configurations at no extra cost allows you to tailor the A7 Sportback s luxury and specification to suit your personal requirements.
