Headlight Removal & Installation: 99-04 VW Jetta Mk.4 / Bora Disclaimer: Buyer assumes any and all risk and liability from the installation and use of this product. Seller, author, or any of their affiliates assume no liability for injury, loss, incidental or consequential damages deriving from installation and/or use of this product. Tools Required: T25 Screwdriver Phillips Screwdriver Electrical tape Thin bendable wire

Part 1: Headlight Removal and Install In order to have easy access of the head lights, the front bumper must be removed. The bumper is connected by 5 screws under the grille, 12 screws under the bumper, & 2 total screws behind the fog light grilles. There is 4 screws holding the head light together. 1. First, pop the hood of your car and you will see the screws on the head lights. Go ahead and take the T25 head screwdriver and loosen the screws. Do this to both sides. 2. Next, you will have to unclip the front grille in order to access the 5 screws under the front grille. The clips are on both sides.

3. After the front grille is loosen, you can now access the 5 screws under it. Pictures shown below are where the screws are located.

4. Now, you will need to take off the 12 screws under the bumper. The screws should look like the photo below.

5. Now that all the screws are off, it is recommended you have cardboard or a big towel to prevent your bumper from being scuffed or scratched from falling to the floor. You remove the bumper by pulling the sides off first. 6. After the front grille area & the bottom screws from under front bumper is loosen, there will be 2 screws under the headlight as seen as the photo below. Unscrew those 2 screws then your head light can be removed. Put your new head lights in and plug in the socket.

Part 2: How to connect Euro Switch wires Red wire - Positive wire Yellow wire - Routes power to fog lights Brown wire - Negative wire Blue wire - Enables the Euro Switch to control parking lights, head lights, and fog lights 1. First, disconnect the car battery so you can begin to tap the Red and Brown wire. After follow the pictures of where the red and brown wires go. The Red will be tapped to the positive terminal while the brown will be tapped to the negative terminal.

2. Next, unplug the passenger head light socket (the one that is coming from the car) then take the longer yellow wire and look behind the stock harness. Look for the #2 pin seen in the photo below. The #2 pin should be open with nothing behind me. Go ahead and put in the yellow wire.

The red circle is where the #2 pin should be. Now, do this so the driver side with the shorter yellow wire then plug everything back in. 3. Now, get a good look behind the air intake in the engine bay. Behind the intake will be where you will be routing the blue wire into the cabin of the interior of the car. Use the flash light and shine it behind the intake and you will see the heat shield made of a reflective silver material on the left. On the right, you should see a rubber grommet. Once you have located the rubber grommet, unplug it and push the blue wire through into the cabin. Part 3: How to remove

the stock Headlight Switch & Install the New Euro Switch 1. The OEM Euro Switch does not have a fog light function so we will need to switch it with the new one. To remove the OEM Euro Switch, push down on the middle then twist it clockwise and pull. You can follow the steps in the pictures below.

2. Now, you have to unplug the Euro Switch. There are 2 release clips on the side towards the bottom of the Euro Switch. Press on that and it will release the Euro Switch. 3. Once you have pushed the blue wire through from the engine bay into the footwell of the driver side, you will then have to unscrew the plastic cover under the steering wheel in order for the wire to reach up the Euro Switch section. 4. After the plastic cover is unscrewed, take the thin bendable wire and use the electrical tape you tape the blue wire onto it. Now you can use the wire to find the opening of the Euro Switch harness. 5. Once the blue wire is visible through the opening of the Euro Switch opening, you will need to locate pin #8 on the Euro Switch harness.

6. Once the blue wire is plugged into pin #8 then plug the harness back onto the new Euro Switch (the one with the fog light function). The photo below is what it should look like. Part 4: How to use the Euro Switch 1. The Euro Switch has 5 states: Off, Parking Light, Parking Light + Fog Lights, Low Beams, & Low Beams + Fog Lights. The first turn clockwise will turn on the parking lights.

When it is in the parking lights state, pull the middle section to activate the fog lights while the parking lights are on. The turn from the parking light state will turn on the low beams.

From the low beams state, pull the middle section towards you will activate both the low beams and fog lights. Here are some pictures of the head lights on
