SALT ELECTROLYSIS - INSPIRATION OF SEA The salt electrolysis is a natural disinfectant method that is based on the sea ecosystem. However, with a much lower salt content. The water treatment with the salt electrolysis process is an environmentally and skin-friendly alternative to conventional chlorine methods. FUNCTIONALITY Sodium hypochlorite, a strong disinfectant which occurs during the electrolysis, destroys all microorganisms and ensures a sufficient amount of free chlorine in the pool. The active chlorine is constantly renewed by the salt electrolysis. INSTALLATION The installation of the salt electrolysis is possible for new and existing pools of any size. Factors such as pool size, number of bathers and climatic conditions determine the required system. You can avoid corrosion by installing of a sacrificial anode, grounding of all mounting parts and the chloride content is max. 600 mg/l. Possible appearance of rust on surface should be cleaned and polished once time a year. No warranty is given at all. We don t recommend salt electrolysis in combination with stainless steel AISI 304 at all. HYDROLYSIS The hydrolysis (splitting of salt in oxygen and hydrogen) generates highly effective oxygen compounds with a perfect disinfection effect. To ensure a sanitary water condition even when the filter pump is not running, the salt electrolysis produces a small amount of chlorine. This combination requires a minimum quantity of chlorine because of a very low salt content (1,5 g/l) compared to normal salt electrolysis (3-5 g/l). 31

DOSING SYSTEMS & SALT ELECTROLYSIS MIDA.Hydro MIDA.Hydro is a water treatment system AND a controller for swimming pools. Water treatment: The salt water electrolysis produces chlorine from a base of salt water of low salinity. The electrolysis cell attains a production of sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine) from 3g salt per liter. The chlorine combats and eliminates bacteria, virus, pathogenic agents and oxidizes organic matter present in the water. The used sodium hypochlorite reconverts into salt after a few hours. The system centrally controls all the components of your pool, ensuring an efficient interaction.
