Let s start answering some s Power Wheelchair Compatibility What LiNX control systems work with MyLiNX? MyLiNX will work with any LiNX control system that includes a Bluetooth enabled remote. This includes systems with the following remotes: REM 110 REM 210 REM 211 REM 216 REM 400 REM 500 Does MyLiNX work with non LiNX control systems? The LiNX control system must be in use for MyLiNX to work. Do I need to turn Bluetooth on via the LiNX remote? No, Bluetooth is available by default when the remote is powered on. 3

Using the MyLiNX pp What is the MyLiNX pp? The MyLiNX pp allows the end user of an Invacare TDX SP2 Power Wheelchair to connect a smart device to their power wheelchair and view detailed information about the chair, including battery levels and diagnostic information. The app also enables the user to easily email or call a pre-specified service agent if support is needed. The MyLiNX pp also transfers diagnostic information about a power wheelchair to the MyLiNX Provider Portal. From this Provider Portal, a service agent can view the diagnostic history of that power wheelchair to assist them in providing a superior level of support to the client. Where can I get the MyLiNX pp? The MyLiNX pp is available for download for ios from the pple pp Store and from Google Play Store for ndroid. Is there a charge to download and use the MyLiNX pp? No, the MyLiNX pp is available at no cost to download and use. Can personal information other than diagnostic data be accessed from the MyLinx pp? No, the MyLiNx pp only accesses information from and about an Invacare TDX SP2 Power Wheelchair. Does the end user of the wheelchair need to accept the privacy policy and consent to use the MyLiNX pp? Yes, the end user must accept the privacy policy and consent for the MyLiNX pp to open and run. 4

How much data does the MyLiNX application use? The MyLiNX pp sends approximately 1KB of data every time it is refreshed and updates the MyLiNX Provider Portal. Based on regular use, the app will use between 10KB and 20KB of data on average per day. Can the MyLiNX pp connect to multiple power wheelchairs? No, the app is only able to connect to one power wheelchair at a time. Once connected, the app will remember this chair and automatically connect to it when the app is running and the chair is in range. How often does the MyLiNX pp update the MyLiNX Provider Portal? The MyLiNX pp will update the MyLiNX Provider Portal every time that it is refreshed (updated by the power wheelchair). If the app is connected, it will refresh automatically once an hour. The app can also be refreshed manually at any time when connected. Can the automatic app refresh be turned off? Yes, this can be turned off. In ios, you need to go to settings, select the MyLiNX icon at the bottom of the screen and switch off uto pp Refresh. In ndroid, you need to go to settings inside the app, then select the Data heading, and turn off Send Diagnostics & Usage. What version of ios does MyLiNX require? ios 10.0 or above is required to run the MyLiNX pp. Will the MyLiNX pp work with an iphone, ipad or ipod? Yes, the MyLiNX pp will work with any ios device. 5

What version of ndroid does MyLiNX require? ndroid 5.0 or above is required. Will MyLiNX work with all ndroid based smartphones and tablets? No, the MyLiNX pp requires an ndroid smartphone or tablet with Bluetooth 4.0. Due to the nature of ndroid devices, not all phone or tablets are able to be tested. Why does MyLiNX ask me to enable notifications, what are these notifications? The ios version of the MyLiNX pp will request that you allow notifications. These will be sent to remind you to refresh the app. This will typically occur if the MyLiNX pp has not been running for a few days and, therefore, has not been able to automatically refresh. In ios, you can turn notifications off. To do this you need to go to settings within your ios device, select the MyLiNX icon at the bottom of the screen and select notifications. The ndroid version of MyLiNX does not use notifications. What do the app notifications mean? MyLiNX on ios will present a badge after three days without refresh. The badge is a red circle in the top right of the MyLiNX icon. fter seven days with no refresh a notification to refresh the app is sent to the user s smart device. second and final notification is sent after nine days. The ndroid version of MyLiNX does not use notifications. Do I need to restart the app after I have powered off my smart device? In ios devices the app must be restarted after power off. This is why we recommend using push notifications to remind a user to do this. In ndroid devices the app will be restarted automatically on power off. 6

The MyLiNX pp won t connect to my power wheelchair. The MyLiNX pp uses Bluetooth LE to connect to your power wheelchair. If you are unable to see your power wheelchair within the app, or you are unable to connect to your power wheelchair, you should ensure that your smart device has Bluetooth switched on. If you are still unable to connect to your power wheelchair you may need to restart the Bluetooth on your smart device. To do this either turn Bluetooth off and on, or restart your smart device. How does the MyLiNX pp work, what do the graphs mean? User guides have been created for both the ios and ndroid versions of MyLiNX. Please refer to these for guidance on how to use the MyLiNX pp. When I try to connect to an Invacare TDX SP2 Power Wheelchair there are multiple chairs available. How do I know which one to connect to? The app displays power wheelchairs by the serial number of their remote. The serial number can be found via the label on the back of the remote. lternatively, the app will only display chairs that are powered on, enabling a specific chair to be identified by powering off any other remote. I have multiple remotes. Which one should I connect to? If a chair has multiple remotes you should connect to the primary remote only. 7

Using the MyLiNX Provider Portal What is the MyLiNX Provider Portal? The MyLiNX Provider Portal is an online tool that allows participating service agents to log in and view diagnostic information about the LiNX power wheelchairs they are responsible for maintaining. It is designed to receive data that is transferred by the MyLiNX pp, securely store this data and present it back to the participating service agent. What is the URL for the MyLiNX Provider Portal? https://www.mylinxworld.com Can an end user access the MyLiNX Provider Portal? No, the MyLiNX Provider Portal is designed only for access by a participating service agent. How do I get access to the MyLiNX Provider Portal? fter a provider signs our MyLiNX Online Services greement, a user name and password to access the MyLiNX provider portal will be provided by your MyLiNX dministrator, please contact them for further details. Can I view every LiNX power wheelchair in the MyLiNX Provider Portal? No, you are only able to view those that have been set up within the MyLiNX Provider Portal, identified as being supported by your service agent organization and that have been connected to the MyLiNX pp. How does the MyLiNX Provider Portal link a power wheelchair with a specific service agent? MyLiNX uses the email address entered into the Service Contact Details within the MyLiNX pp to link the data from a power wheelchair with a service agent. This email address must match with the email address used by the service agent when setting up their MyLiNX Provider Portal. This email address will be available from your MyLiNX administrator. 8

How does the MyLiNX Provider Portal uniquely identify a power wheelchair? MyLiNX uses the device ID field to uniquely identify a power wheelchair. The device ID should always be the serial number of the LiNX power module attached to the power wheelchair. This serial number can be found on the power module of the power wheelchair or alternatively in the diagnostics section of the MyLiNX pp. Where is the MyLiNX data stored? MyLiNX data is stored in the cloud and is only accessible by your participating provider via the MyLiNX Provider Portal. For how long is data stored? Data in the MyLiNX Provider Portal is stored for three months. fter this time data is archived and is not available to providers via the Provider Portal. Will data be transferred to the MyLiNX Provider Portal without the user having the MyLiNX pp? No, the MyLiNX pp is required to transfer information from a power wheelchair to the MyLiNX Provider Portal. How do I add a power wheelchair? dding a power wheelchair is fully explained in the MyLiNX user guide. Why can t I see my chairs within the MyLiNX Provider Portal? You need to add a chair to the MyLiNX Provider Portal and ensure that the end user has installed the MyLiNX pp, for a chair to be visible and have data. It is important that you have entered the correct Service Contact details into the end user s app, and that you have created a user in the Provider Portal with the correct device ID (power module serial number). 9

Why do I see a power wheelchair but no data displayed? For data to be displayed in MyLiNX the power wheelchair user must also use the MyLiNX pp and connect to their power wheelchair. transmission error will be displayed if data has not been transferred from a chair in the last ten days. If no data is displayed it is likely that the user is either not using the MyLiNX pp, has not correctly entered the service contact details, or an incorrect Device ID has been entered into the MyLiNX Provider Portal. If no data is displayed for only the last few days, it is likely that the user has not used the MyLiNX pp recently or is not using their power wheelchair. Once the power wheelchair user successfully refreshes their app, data will be transferred to the MyLiNX Provider Portal, enabling the service center to observe this data from the chair. Why do I see a power wheelchair but the data displayed is not complete? The LiNX control system will only record data for 24 hours after being powered off. Therefore, if a chair is left for longer than 24 hours without being used, data will not be available to the MyLiNX Provider Portal. This will result in the battery graphs being incomplete for the period of time after the chair has been turned off and when the MyLiNX pp is next refreshed. What do the MyLiNX Flag lerts mean? Overcharge lert This flag occurs if the chair has detected voltage peaking above 30v for longer than 30 minutes over a seven-day rolling period. Typically a battery may peak above 30v on charging, but should not remain above 30v for an extended time. If this alert is occurring regularly you should check battery charger and replace if necessary. Equalizing This flag occurs if the chair has not reached a level of being fully charged (state of charge equaling 100%) in the last seven days rolling. The cells of a battery discharge at varying rates. When a battery is charged for an extended time the cells of the battery equalize and balance. This type of charge is required for good battery health. If this flag is occurring you should provide the user of the chair with a charging guidance document, check batteries are still holding enough charge for normal usage and replace as necessary. 10

Deep Discharge This flag occurs if the chair has 30 minutes of more at >20V over seven days rolling. The voltages dipping below 20V indicates that chair performance will have been impacted and battery damage likely. The main cause of a deep discharge scenario is that damaged batteries are resulting in quick discharge or driving is occurring when the batteries are nearly discharged. If this flag is occurring you should check the batteries and battery charger and replace, if necessary. Damaged batteries will discharge very quickly (the blue state of charge line drops quickly), but equally returns to full charge very quickly. battery can only give out the energy it can take in. If no fault is found, refer to a clinician for review of suitability of battery specification for user. Sitting Flat This flag occurs if the chair has 12 hours or more at <23V when in neutral or powered off. If this flag occurs, the battery has been sitting at low level of charge for an extended time. This indicates the battery requires charging, as remaining in a state of low charge will cause damage. Provide with charging guidance document (plan to make document specifically for cases where battery is sitting flat), check batteries and battery charger and replace, if necessary. Battery Low The flag occurs when the chair s last recorded battery voltage was less than 23.6v. This flag is not cause for concern unless it is a common occurrence or occurs with other charge errors. Error Code ct accordingly based on Flash Code Number Check flash code history to identify if it is a regular fault or a one-off fault. Transmission No data has been received from the unit for ten days. There are multiple reasons why this may occur. The chair is not being used as the user is on vacation, inactive etc. The user s MyLiNX pp is not active. Check that the user is active with the chair and using the MyLiNX pp. buse Battery abuse hours occur when a user is driving their chair with a low voltage reading. This results from driving on an empty battery or when a battery needs replacing. Correlate with charge history and daily usage to understand why the battery has a low level of charge while driving. Provide with charging guidance document. Refer to clinician for review of suitability of battery specification for user. 11
