Keep your area safe with the easiest system you ll ever use. INSTRUCTION MANUAL

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. KEEP THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. INSPECT ALL COMPONENTS FOR DAMAGE PRIOR TO USE. INSTRUCTION MANUAL Thank you for buying Rapid Roll safety products. Our products will help you create a safe work environment installed quicker than conventional fencing. Our systems are far safer than pylons and caution tape, creating an easily seen visual barrier that is both sturdy and portable. Our systems will help reduce costs associated with replacement fence and increase productivity. WARNING Rapid Roll Systems are designed to act as a VISUAL BARRIER ONLY. Do not use to tie off/secure persons or material. Not to be used as a guard rail or fall arrest system. Do not apply vertical or horizontal load on any components. Improper use can result in death, injury or property damage. Ensure set up/take down of systems are conducted in a safe work area away from pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Operator must add additional weight such as sandbags to steel cartridge base, mobile base and post bases in windy or adverse conditions. Failure to do so could result injury, death or property damage. Check with your local Safety and Building Code Authorities before using Rapid Roll products.

Place Steel Cartridge Base (SCB) on a firm level surface. Ensure (3) pedestal hold down clips are not bent or filled with debris. When using wheeled system, ensure it is placed on firm level surface. STEP 1 CARTRIDGE SET UP

Place Cartridge on top of SCB. Position the (3) cartridge foot tabs at open end of SCB hold down clips. Rotate counter clock wise to wedge foot tabs in place. Tap with foot to ensure holes are in line. STEP 1 CARTRIDGE SET UP CONTINUED Install hitch pin to lock in place. * OPERATOR MUST ADD ADDITIONAL WEIGHT SUCH AS SAND BAGS ON LEG EXTENSIONS IN WINDY OR ADVERSE CONDITIONS. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. When using cartridge spike base, ensure cartridge is secured correctly with supplied hardware. Ensure there are no electrical wire, water line or gas line in install area. Contact your local utility company(s). Use carry/lock out handles and apply force to spike cartridge into soft surface.

Place rubber post bases on firm level surface at approximately 12 ft. apart (starting from cartridge) or 4 paces. You can use your system in a straight line, as enclosure or 3 sided. STEP 2 PLACING RUBBER BASES

Remove posts from post carry bag or from wheeled base post holders. Insert posts into rubber bases starting with end post (lock out handles). When inserting posts, apply downward pressure. STEP 3 INSERTING POSTS When inserting mid post, ensure hooks are facing away from vehicular or pedestrian traffic. When using post spike bases, slide post over spike base collar. Push down on post or use your foot to apply pressure. Ensure there are no electrical wire, water line or gas line in install area. Contact your local utility company(s).

Remove bungie from cartridge crank handle. * CAUTION PINCH HAZARD * AT ALL TIMES WHEN EXTENDING FENCE, KEEP HANDS FREE FROM TOP OF CARTRIDGE OR CRANK HANDLE. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN INJURY. STEP 4 USING CRANE HANDLE

When extending fence do so on inside of post away from pedestrian or vehicular traffic. Pull fence to desired length. STEP 4 EXTENDING / INSTALLING FENCE Hook Rapid Link Grip (RLG) to end post lock out handles. If using multiple cartridges/systems, hook RLG to cartridge side carry/lock out handles. Once RLG is attached to end post, proceed to attach fence to mid posts working toward the cartridge. Pull fence toward cartridge to limit slack. Starting at the top post hook, attach fence in 3rd GRID SQUARE OF FENCE. Hook fence to middle then bottom hook.

Once fence is securely attached to posts, use crank handle to remove fence slack. Reinstall bungie. * CAUTION PINCH HAZARD * AT ALL TIMES WHEN EXTENDING FENCE, KEEP HANDS FREE FROM TOP OF CARTRIDGE OR CRANK HANDLE. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN INJURY. You can disconnect or replace the fence from your cartridge by simply removing fence from cartridge shaft retainer clips. Once fence is disconnected, you can store your cartridge and SCB. To reconnect your fence, simply follow Step 1 and reconnect your fence to cartridge shaft retainer clips. You are now ready to start your safe work day!!! STEP 5 SECURING FENCE / FENCE DISCONNECT

RETRACTING AND STORING YOUR RAPID ROLL SYSTEM

To retract system, first remove fence from post hooks starting from end post. Lay fence on ground. If area is full of debris, mud or otherwise, a 2nd person can hold fence upright while retracting. STEP 1 REMOVING FENCE FROM POSTS

Remove bungie from crank handle. * CAUTION PINCH HAZARD * AT ALL TIMES WHEN RETRACTING, KEEP ONE HAND ON CRANK HANDLE AND THE OTHER HAND ON SIDE CARRY/LOCK OUT HANDLE. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN INJURY. STEP 2 RETRACTING FENCE Turn crank clockwise to retract your fence. Ensure fence hasn t collected any debris while retracting. Once fence is retracted, install bungie on crank handle.

Remove posts from rubber bases. Turn posts slightly and lift to remove. Place posts in post carry bag or in wheeled base post holders. STEP 3 REMOVING / STORING POSTS

Remove rubber bases from work area. STEP 4 REMOVING / STORING BASES Rubber bases can be stacked, leaned against stable structure or back in wheeled base holder.

Remove hitch pin from SCB. Turn cartridge clockwise to remove from SCB hold down clips. Cartridge can be stored on SCB or in horizontal position. Refrain from placing heavy items on cartridge while in horizontal position. STEP 5 REMOVING / STORING CARTRIDGE
