The plies are reforced by a belt of several bracg layers. Radial ply tyre benefits The number of plies can be reduced considerably without affectgthe strength of the casg. A thner casg means lower heat build-up when use, which turn means the tyre lasts longer. More flexible sidewalls provide a smoother ride and improve drivercomfort. Low rollg resistance cuts fuel consumption. More resistant tread lugs mean that the radial ply tyre tread is morereliable and lasts longer. The bracg plies distribute pressure more evenly on the ground. The radial ply design boasts a wider contact patch, which reducessoil compaction. The radial ply tread lug provides more grip, which turn improvesthe productivity of the tyre (greater hectare/hour ratio). Dimensional equivalences (step 2) Step 2: Based on the SRI result from step 1, determe the possible dimensional equivalences. This equivalence chart has been produced usg ETRTO data; it is not exhaustive. Please consult us for other conversions. IMPORTANT: In no case does the SRI correspond to a specifi c value of the circumference of the bearg. It is only given for formation purposes only. It is necessary to verify via measurements. Any transformation requires the ratio between the bridge and the rate of preponderance to be calculated order to check that the width and diameter of the rims are compatible (see technical pages). Use and implementation Instructions for use To determe the tyre pressure: Your tyre choice must comply with the applicable legislation and the equipment recommended by the vehicle manufacturer, by the manufacturer or by an official body (size, load and speed dices, structure (radial, diagonal, etc.). It is necessary to take to account the conditions which the tyre will be used so that the level of perfromance fully meets the user s requirements. If the vehicle s origal equipment is modified any way, you must ensure that this modification complies with the country s current legislation (see local regulations), conditions of use and manufacturer s recommendations. In some countries, modified vehicles require authorisation from the relevant authorities. TAURUS tyres are designed for a specific use as described the catalogue. Any other use constitutes abnormal use. However, some circumstances, TAURUS may issue an exception and describe the accepted conditions and exceptional restrictions for use. TAURUS can not be held liable for the abnormal use of its tyres unless an express written waiver has been issued. Any second-hand or used tyre that has been volved an accident must, before beg fitted, undergo a thorough spection by a professional order to guarantee user safety and compliance with the applicable regulations. In addition, some mechanical parts can wear out more quickly if you use tyres correctly or choose the wrong ones. Tyre pressure is always determed relation to the load per tyre, the tended speed and the work to be performed. The load to be taken to account is the highest one: - For tractors: - front axle: tractor with its mass / equipment on front road position and with no load on the rear axle - rear axle: tractor with equipment position for transport. NB: for a tractor equipped with a front loader, consider with max. load on the loader. - For harvesters or much spreaders, it is fully loaded (full tank), with the header (or picker). NB: for harvesters, determe the axle load: - front axle with cutter bar or picker - rear axle without the cutter bar or picker Determe the pressure for use the field and use on-road and select the higher of the two For tensive on-road use or on slopes and cles, follow the structions given the pages Technical features of TAURUS tyres. When use: Distribute the loads evenly Adapt your drivg to the conditions (load, speed, slope, cle, condition of road or other terra. Matenance: Regularly check your tyre pressure Periodically check the condition of your tyres and have them checked by a qualified tyre professional Remder: - Damage caused by a puncture or an impact may be not visible itially and become apparent after some time - Tyres age even when not use Have any repairs carried out by a qualified and confirmed professional. 28 TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 29

Instructions for fittg and removg tyres Fittg and removal operations can volve risks and must be carried out by a traed and qualified professional usg the appropriate tools and operatg methods. Never entrust these operations to an apprentice workg alone; if these operations are carried out by more than one person e.g. the case of fittg oversize tyres then make sure that at least one person is present throughout the operation. Use a compressed air supply equipped with a pressure limit switch. Not followg these structions and methods may result the tyre beg correctly fitted to the rim and cause it to burst with the associated risk of serious jury, or even a fatality. Removg a tyre from the rim 1. Never try to remove the beads of an flated tyre from a rim. 2. The ternal mechanism of the valve must be removed. - make sure that the tyre is fully deflated before removg it, - do not use tools that may damage the sidewalls or the cover beads, - detach the beads from the removal notches (if they exist), - to facilitate removal and protect the beads, particularly the case of a puncture, lubricate the rim seats and the tyre beads, - if the rim shows obvious signs of damage then the tyre must be deflated before dismantlg the assembly. Preparation for Fittg 1. Before fittg, ensure that the rim, tyre and ner tube are compatible. Check that: - the tyre is compatible with the vehicle or mache, - the diameter of the rim seat corresponds to the seat of the tyre to be fitted (e.g. 18.4 R cover, rim: DW16L x ), - the tyre may be fitted to this rim (see characteristics the Manufacturer s documentation). Remember - There are rims with seat diameters of.3 ; never fit on these rims tyres. The same thg applies for 16.1 and.5 rims; never fit 16 tyres on them. 2. Before fittg a tyre to a rim that has already been used: - the rim must be clean and perfect condition (showg no damage), - if not, then thoroughly clean the rim usg a metal brush Never fit a tyre to a rim that has cracks, significant deformation, rupturg, traces of weld repairs, etc. 3. If the tyre is worn, exame it carefully side and out for signs of damage. - if it shows signs of damage or deterioration that are deemed by a specialist to be irreparable, discard the tyre. 4. For assembly with an ner tube, always use a new and compatible ner tube of the right size for the tyre (markgs on the ner tube give the sizes of compatible tyres).! Do not fit the ner tube to a damaged or repaired rim, or to a rim not designed to take an ner tube. Fit a new tubeless valve whenever you replace a tubeless tyre. 5. Always use tools that have no sharp edges, are good condition and are suitable for the tyres and rims (bead unseatg tool, levers, maches, etc.). For wide and oversized tyres, we recommend parts to lubricate usg a bead breaker cylder or a bead unseatg tool with appropriate mechanical assistance to fit the second bead. 5 cm Before fittg, lubricate the rim seats and beads beads on the cover. Apply a th layer of lubricant to the sections shown seats on the sketch opposite; on the outer surface of the beads, the lubricant should be 5 cm higher than the edge of the rim. rim well Only use products tended for this purpose and that will not damage the tyre (do not use hydrocarbon based products, silicon, anti-freeze, etc.). Vertical fittg of the tyre on the wheel 1. Position the valve or the valve hole at the bottom. 2. If there is a diagram of the valve on the sidewall of the tyre, position the diagram as close as possible to the valve or the valve hole the rim. 3. Slip the tyre onto the rim so that the first tyre bead is positioned on the edge of the rim. (Remember to rotate it the direction dicated - if any - by an arrow on the tyre). 4. By usg a suitable lever to apply pressure approximately every cm: - push the first bead over the edge of the rim. Once the first bead is position: - position the slightly flated ner tube side the tyre (for fittg with an ner tube), - fix the valve by partially tighteng the nut. For the second bead: - push it over the edge of the rim, - until you reach the valve. TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 31

Instructions for fi ttg and removg tyres 5. Centerg the tyre, fittg the beads. - lower the jack slightly to optimise tyre centerg, - remove the valve s ner mechanism, - slowly and partially flate for optimal bead positiong, - check that the beads do not pch the ner tube, - flate to 2.5 bars max. to ensure that the beads are properly positioned. Inflatg and fittg the beads 1. Applyg the safety rules: - system to support the tyre assembly (safety cage), - safety goggles, - safety shoes, - ear defenders. In the absence of a safety cage or barrier, the operator should be as far away as possible from the tyre and the rim. Trajectories Once all the precedg operations have bee properly executed, - replace the valve s ner mechanism, - tighten the nut on the valve by hand, - fl ate to the required operatg pressure le with the load recommendations previously mentioned the Manufacturer s Documentation or to the storage pressure, - tighten the valve cap after every flation or pressure check operation as this is the part that ensures the valve remas clean and airtight. If fi ttg the tyre while flat on the ground (a method we do not recommend because it is impossible to see if the lower bead has been properly positioned, you must take the followg additional precautions: - Initially, do not go above a maximum pressure of 0.7 bar (for air tightness), - Lift the tyre/rim assembly and place it a safety cage or lean the upper part agast a wall - never a door or a lightweight partition, - Follow the structions for fittg the beads (Figures 1, 2 and 3 and page 32). Comment: Any radial tyres to be used at low pressures must be fitted onto high quality rims.! Careful: never stand the trajectories (see fi gures 1, 2, 3) order to prevent personal jury the case of an cident. To ensure the best safety conditions, use an fl ation gun connected to a valve via a 3-metre (m.) air extension cable equipped with a clip on the valve side and a calibrated pressure gauge perfect workg order (never block the handle). 2. Take particular care to: - check that the beads are positioned and centred relation to the edges of the rim, fl ate to 2.5 bars when positiong the beads. If the beads are not correctly positioned: - deflate, lubricate aga and fl ate to 2.5 bars, - repeat the operation as often as necessary until the beads are correctly positioned. To fit and position the beads to the rim seats INFLATE TO 2.5 Bars WITHOUT EXCEEDING THIS PRESSURE The diagram opposite dicates the maximum fl ation, which must not be exceeded when positiong the beads. This diagram is shown on the sidewall of every tyre. 2,5 bar MAX. Commissiong - For transportg vehicles and maches (by road, rail or boat), we recommend deflatg the tyres to 1.8 bar (26 PSI) to avoid any possible damage beg caused by stowage systems. - When commissiong the mache, the pressures must always be determed and adjusted relation to the load borne by the tyres and the actual usage conditions. (See load/pressure scales this document). Special case Ride comfort Tyre life USER INSTRUCTIONS Correct pressure = Grip Soil protection Optimal mache effi ciency Ballastg tyres with liquids In certa cases, and order to crease the traction or lower the centre of gravity of a mache, for both tubeless and tube type tyres, the tyres may be ballasted with liquid. 32 TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 33

Instructions for fittg and removg tyres Agricultural valves are air and water type valves and may therefore be filled up to a maximum of 75 % (Diagram 1) with liquid (water + anti-freeze - volume at 75 % the technical pages). In wter, temperatures may fall below freezg and at 0 the use of a Glycol based anti-freeze product is compulsory. Fill the ner tube or the tubeless tyre with liquid up to the level of the valve (valve placed at the top), while releasg the air (Diagram 2). Inflation and pressure are adjusted for air. As the volume of air creatg pressure is low (roughly % by volume), regularly checkg the tyre pressure is essential - we recommend dog so on a monthly basis. Ballastg tubeless tyres with liquid - Assemble and position the cover; see method for Inflatg and positiong the beads (page 32), - Deflate the tyre to a low pressure (roughly 0.5 bar), - Position the valve at the top, - Start to ballast the cover with liquid (water + anti-freeze) up to a maximum 75 % while releasg the air (Diagram 2), - Fish flatg with air and adjust the pressure. Storage To be correctly stored, the tyres must be kept clean conditions dry and ventilated premises, away from direct sunlight and sources of ozone (electric motors, transformers, arc weldg stations, etc.). Keep tyres away from any chemicals, solvents and hydrocarbons that may affect the nature of the rubber. Keep away from any objects that could pierce the rubber (sharp or poted metal objects etc.). Keep away from flames or hot objects. Durg storage, agricultural tyres and ner tubes must be kept so that they do not become misshapen due to tension or crushg, are fitted and flated if stacked and are unballasted as much as possible for wheels fitted to a vehicle and over-flated by 0.5 bar relation to the normal tyre pressure.! Never store unfitted tyres or completely dismantled wheels for long periods and direct contact with the ground. The use of protective gloves is recommended when handlg tyres. 1 2 WATER! WARNING - Never heat, weld or solder a wheel with a tyre fitted. Always remove the tyre from the rim before any operation. - Always use the TAURUS flation table to decide on the correct pressure for the tended use. - Under-flation causes the carcass to become grossly misshapen and causes the tyre to become prematurely removed from service. - Over-flation reduces the surface area contact with the ground, causg a loss of grip and makg the cover more sensitive to impacts and cuts. - If the loads are less than those dicated our load/pressure tables, never go below the mimum tyre pressure dicated our tables. 34 TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 TAURUS agricultural technical documentation 20 35
