Curl control Mechanism Curl controller Curl fence motor [M607] By projection part of curl fence and rear guide sheet, prevent paper curl of paper rear edge and keep next paper insertion. After paper coming in to Compile unit, rotate curl fance 90 degree by curl fence motor, then fit paper rear edge again. Stopping position of curl fence is controlled by position sensor. Side jogger Mechanism Side jogger 2 Mechanism for paper jogger for both side of punched paper. Side jogger 1 is basic position for jogger and position is stopped at A4 and LT positions. Side jogger 1 is connected by belt with Side jogger 1 motor. And each position is controlled by sensor and the motor. Side jogger 2 moves for paper jog when paper coming in to Compile unit. Side jogger 2 is connected by belt with Side jogger 2 motor. And jog level is controlled for each size of paper by Side jogger 2 motor and sensor. Paddle Mechanism Paddle up and down motor [M603] Paddle roller motor [M601] Paper comes into Compile unit send to Shutter area stably. Paddle roller works Paddle roller motor with belt. This roller is rotating under constant speed. Paddle roller speed is faster than paper moving speed. So, paddle roller convey paper. Height of Pddle roller is controlled by Paddle up & down motor and sensor. This height is controlled according to stacked paper height. So. Paddle roller keeps constant distance to paper set. Paddle height is controlled from stacked paper height by sensor. Paddle roller (MB10953) 17

Shutter Mechanism Shutter motor Shutter drive gear Shutter [M608] Close Open Position sensor Shutter cam Shutter is closed while paper are stacked in Compile unit. This shutter is wall for paper compile for paper moving direction. Shutter is opened while Ring binding and booklet exit to keeping paper convey route. Shutter works (open and close) by Shutter Cam rotation with Shutter motor. Shutter opening position is detected by sensor. Stopping position of Shutter motor is controlled by slit of Shutter drive gear with sensor. 18

Array pin Mechanism Array pin Limit sensor Paper set which is complied in Compile unit, re-complied under nominal position of punched holes. Array pins with gears and link moves in/out by Array pin motor. Array pins is at home position by HP sensor except re-compile works with Array pins. While re-compile with Array pins, Array pins go into holes by Array pin motor. Then after Array pins reach at upper dead point by limit sensor, Array pins go back to home position. Array pin motor [M602] HP sensor 19

Booklet Conveying Mechanism Follower Convey up/down motor Press spring [M610] HP sensor Convey roller Paper set only with punched holes and booklet with ring convey to exit area. Paper set with only punched holes and booklet with ring are conveyed by Convey press motor movement, and Paper set and booklet are clamped by Convey press roller moving down, then convey to exit area by Convey roller rotation. Convey press roller clamping position is controlled by HP sensor. During paper set & booklet convey, Convey press roller down and Convey roller up. So, paper set & booklet are conveyed with 1mm gapfrom Convey guide plate. Convey roller motor [M609] 20

Booklet thickness sensor Mechanism Sensor sense booklet thickness in Compile unit by sensor1 or 2. In case of 5.5mm& over for small ring or 11mm & over for large ring, Sub PCB send thickness over failure signal. Sensors sense slit plate in Clamp upper arm, then detect paper set thickness. This information is feed back to Paddle roller height control. Slit plate sensor 1 sensor 2 21

Clamp upper guide is connected with Clamp lower guide by spring. So. always clamping force is loaded. Clamp upper guide is opened by lifting of bearing with Clamp upper arm by rotation of Clamp Up & Down Cam with Clamp motor work. Clamp Up & Down Cam position is controlled by sensor. So, Clamp Up & Down Cam has gap with bearing except Clamp upper guide open. Ring binding works for paper set with clamping by Clamp upper arm and Clamp lower arm during ring binding. 22

(Up for spring force and Down for Link) Lift unit is integral structure with Ring holding part. When this lift unit with ring holding part goes up,only one ring goes down from the cartridge. After ring binding work complete, lift Paper link up, then Paper compile unit return to home. 26

Ring size switch Mechanism For handling for both 50 sheet and 100 sheet ring,binding pitch and Nail dept should be changeable according to Ring size. Movement transer from Ring size switch motor to Gear (switch) then, to Switching Cam 1 and 2. Switch Cam 1 change binding pitch and Switching Cam 2 change Nail depth.
