Each headight features a matrix of 16 individua LED ights. These ights repace both the dipped beam and main beam functions. Each LED iuminates a separate part of the road ahead meaning that by automaticay switching ights on and off, iumination is varied to suit traffic and road conditions. The InteiLux system cacuates which LED ights are activated and deactivated using additiona data such as ambient ight conditions, vehice speed, steering ange and when the indicators are used. For exampe, when the front camera system detects an oncoming vehice, the individua LED ights that woud dazze the oncoming driver are automaticay switched off and then switched back on once the vehice has passed. A other areas remain fuy iuminated. Every type of driving environment has been considered: Urban ight: With street ighting and speeds up to 34mph, the system automaticay enhances the dipped beam function. Highway ight: The system recognises when the car is on a dua carriageway or motorway. At higher speeds the ight distribution on the right is reduced to minimise gare from the crash barriers whist the eft-side beam is engthened. Country ight: As speeds increase, so does the ighting s performance, iuminating the nearside of the road. Static Cornering ight: At ower speeds corners and bends are iuminated to match steering inputs. Parking ight: When reversing, additiona side-facing ights are activated in the headights. Tourist mode: The ighting pattern can be adjusted when traveing abroad. Energy saving mode: The InteiLux LED Matrix system goes into energy saving mode when the engine is automaticay stopped.
