Sheridan Road Subject(s) O Connell, Sean, male, age 22, 1400 Burnside Ct, Long Grove, IL 60047 Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Possession of Controlled Substance (Class 4 felony) $3000 10/11/2017 at 9:00 am C 120 Waukegan Police responded to a reported accident at Lake Forest College. During the investigation it was determined one of the drivers, O Connell, appeared intoxicated. Police conducted an investigation of the accident and O Connell s impairment. Subsequently O Connell was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was taken into custody, arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of Controlled Substance (Class 4 felony) and transported to the Public Safety Building for processing. O Connell was then transported to the Lake County Jail for a bond hearing. He was held on a $3,000 cash bond and given an October court date. Case Number 17 12927 09/22/2017 at 2:42 am Rte. 41 and Deerpath Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol $3000 Subject(s) Guzman, Alejandro, male, age 24, 720 N. Butrick, Waukegan, IL 60085 10/27/2017 at 9:00 am C 405 Waukegan An officer on routine patrol observed a white Toyota make several driving violations and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Officers identified Guzman as the driver of the vehicle and while speaking to Guzman, officers determined Guzman may have been drinking alcohol prior to him driving. When asked, Guzman stated he had consumed seven beers. Officers conducted field sobriety test on Guzman and based on all observations, Guzman was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was transported to the Public Safety Building where he was processed, released on bond, and given an October court date. Case Number 17 12803 9/19/2017 1400 blk of N. McKinley Motor Vehicle Theft n/a n/a Subject(s) Unknown Police were called to the 1400 block of N. McKinley after a 911 call concerning the theft of a motor vehicle from a driveway. Police were able to determine the 2002 black Acura had been left unlocked in the driveway overnight with the keys in the vehicle. Police have no suspects at this time and continue to remind all residents to lock their cars and take their keys and other valuables out of their cars.

Case Number 17 12776 9/18/2017 at 12:03 pm Conway Farms GC Theft (class 3 Felony) $5000 Subject(s) Caouette, Wesley A., male, age 26, 2525 Mountain Creek Road, Chattanooga, TN 10/19/2017 at 9:00 am C 120 Waukegan Lake Forest Police, in conjunction with Gurnee Police, investigated the selling of stolen tickets from the 2017 BMW Golf Championship. Through interviews and investigative resources, police were able to identify Caouette as the suspect and were able to elicit a confession that he stole the tickets and aided in their illegal sale. Caouette was arrested, charged with Theft, processed, and released on bond. He was given an October court date. Case Number 17 12653 09/16/2017 at 1:18 am Rte. 60 and Waukegan Road Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Subject(s) Kurtz, Brennen J. male, age 21, 1948 Lincoln Ave., Northbrook, IL 60062 Officers on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop on a silver Nissan after observing the vehicle commit several traffic violations. Officer s spoke with the driver, Kurtz, and determined his driver s license was suspended. During the conversation, officers observed a glass pipe in the passenger seat area. Kurtz was arrested and police seized the glass smoking pipe and a metal grinder, both used for consuming marijuana. Kurtz was charged with Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was processed, released on bond, and given an October court date. Updated September 21, 2017 Case Number 17 12603 09/15/2017 at 10:01 am Conway Farms and Old Bridge Subject(s) Attempted Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Knaak, Jason W. male, age 29, 2647 Loren Ln, Algonquin IL 60102 Knaak, William, J., male, age 51, 665 Jefferson Ave. Elgin, IL 60120 Officers working a traffic check point during the BMW Championship, detained a blue Mitsubishi after the driver stopped to ask directions and officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the inside of the car. The driver admitted to having a pipe and some cannabis in the vehicle, which officers located. When police interviewed William Knaak, they located a small amount of cocaine in his possession. Both subjects

were arrested on scene. Jason Knaak was issued an administrative hearing ticket for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and given an October hearing date. Case Number 17 12578 09/14/2017 at 11:56 pm Sheridan Road and Deerpath Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Subject(s) Carpenter, Jennifer L., female, age 21, 6084 Indian Trail Road, Gurnee, IL 60031 Administrative Hearing 10/11/2017 at 9:00 am City Hall Police on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop on a red Kia, for an equipment violation. When officers approached the vehicle, they smelled the odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. Officers located a glass pipe in Carpenter s possession. She was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, issued an administrative hearing ticket, and released. Case Number 17 12556 09/14/2017 at 4:16 pm 500 N. Green Bay Road Subject(s) Preacely, Laderrion, male, age 24, 954 Pine St., Waukegan, IL 60085 Solicitation without a Permit, No Valid D.L, No Valid Car Insurance and No Valid Registration 10/17/2017 at 3:00 pm Police were called to the area of Illinois and Vine on a report of solicitors going door to door selling items with no permit, and were last seen driving a silver Mercury Sable station wagon. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver, Preacely, was interviewed and subsequently cited for Solicitation Without a Permit, Having a No Valid D.L, No Valid Car Insurance, and No Valid Vehicle Registration. He was arrested, processed, and released on bond. He was given an October court date. Case Number 17 12410 09/11/2017 at 6:40 pm Deerpath and Clover Driving while License Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Suspended Vehicle Registration Subject(s) Roach, Dominique, female, age 28, 1741 Grove Ave., North Chicago IL 60064 10/03/2017 at 1:30 pm Police on routine patrol observed a vehicle disabled in traffic and a female driver with the vehicle. Further investigation determined the driver, Roach, did not possess a valid driver s license, current vehicle insurance and the vehicle registration was suspended. Roach was arrested, charged with Driving while License Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Suspended Vehicle Registration, she was processed and released on bond. Roach was given an October court date.

Updated September 8, 2017 Case Number 17 12093 09/04/2017 at 1:59 am Rte. 41 and Deerpath Driving While License Suspended, Possession of Cannabis Subject(s) Woods, Candace M., female, age 30, 1019 Fairfield Ct. Waukegan, IL 60085 An officer on routine patrol observed a 2016 Dodge Challenger being operated with an expired registration. Officers initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle, approached and spoke to the driver. The driver, Woods, was determined to have a suspended Illinois driver s license and she was arrested on scene. Police located a bag of marijuana in the passenger area of the vehicle during an inventory search. Woods admitted to the ownership of the marijuana. Woods was transported to the Public Safety Building where she was processed, released on bond, and given an October court date. Case Number 17 12083 09/03/2017 at 9:08 pm Rte. 41 and Westleigh Road Subject(s) Yurchuk, Andri, male, age 42, 7 Parkside Ct., Vernon Hills, IL 60061 Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, No Valid Driver s License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident. $3000 10/06/2017 at 9:00 C 405 Waukegan Police responded to the area of Rte. 41 and Westleigh Road on a reported two car crash at that location. Police initially did not find Yurchuk at the scene and witnesses stated he ran from the area on foot with someone chasing him. An off duty officer was eventually observed escorting Yurchuk back to the scene, where he was detained by officers. Officers on scene observed Yurchuk to have demonstrated signs of intoxication, bloodshot and glassy eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage on his breath as he spoke. Officers on scene observed open containers of alcohol in the vehicle during their investigation. Yurchuk was requested to perform several field sobriety tests and subsequently was arrested for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, No Valid Driver s License and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Yurchuk was transported to the Public Safety Building where he was processed, released on bond, and given an October court date. Case Number 17 12030 09/02/2017 at 7:58 pm Rte. 41 and Westleigh Road Driving While License Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle Subject(s) Devost, James A., male, age 51, 1421 Grove Ave. North Chicago, IL 60064 10/03/2017 at 1:30 pm Police responded to the area of Rte. 41 and Rte. 60 for a report of a black Dodge Magnum speeding and weaving in traffic. Police located the

vehicle and stopped it for speeding. When police spoke to the driver, Devost, they determined his driver s license was suspended and his vehicle did not have insurance. Devost was cited for Driving While License Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Speeding. He was processed, released on bond, and given an October court date. Case Number 17 11989 09/02/2017 at 1:58 am Rte 60 and Ridge Road Driving While License Suspended Subject(s) Tidemore, Vincent L., male, age 27, 3009 27 th St. Zion, IL 60099 Police on routine patrol, in the area of Ridge Road and Rte. 60, conducted a traffic stop on a 2000 Honda Civic for an equipment violation. Police also discovered the vehicle s registration was expired and the driver, Tidemore, was operating the vehicle while his driver s license was suspended. Tidemore was arrested, processed, and released on bond. He was given an October court date.
