Coordinated, Automated Fluid Control uprocess devices connect to CapTite microfluidic interconnect products to make it easy to build and rebuild micro- and nano-fluidic circuits. This results in zero dead-volumes and compa ble, quick-to-assemble fluid interfaces, taking the hassle out of fluid rou ng. All components are available for connec on to 360 μm, 1/32 or 1/16 tubing. SPS01 Programmable Syringe Pumps can be configured for total fluids volumes of 5 to 100 μl, with step sizes as low as 8 nl. The compact pump design (100 mm long x 25 mm wide) is op mal for applica ons striving to minimize tubing length or overall footprint. AV-Series Automated Selector Valves are available in 3, 4, and 6 port configura ons. The small size, zero dead volumes, and low swept volumes minimize sample use. ups Pressure Sensors are ideal for monitoring and controlling pressure in microfluidic circuits. The 13 mm diameter sensors can be threaded into any CapTite port, allowing easy integra on into a microfluidic circuit via microfluidic chips, tees, or reservoirs to minimize dead-volume and form factor. uts Temperature Sensor and ute Thermal-Electric Modules are ideal for monitoring and controlling temperatures in micro-applica ons. Programmable Automated Opera on uprocess So ware makes it easy to control and monitor uprocess devices and other LabSmith instruments via a laptop or PC. Sequences are simple to enter into uprocess for mul step, coordinated automa on: make a precision pressure source from a ups pressure sensor, reservoir, and syringe pump; use flourescence signals from LabSmith s SVM340 for triggering or feedback; scan mul plexed arrays; coordinate pressure driven and electrically driven flow with LabSmith s HVS448. LabSmith SPS01 Syringe Pumps Automated fluid delivery Small footprint Zero dead-volume direct connec on to tubing Flow rates as low as 50 nl/min Precision Delivery, Remarkable Size Only 100 mm long, the SPS01 syringe pump is a big step in system miniaturiza on, using a frac on of the space and power of a conven onal syringe pump. Mul ple pumps pack densely, reducing interconnect volumes and flow-lag for ght, accurate dispensing and flow control. The versa le SPS01 delivers volumes from 5 to 100 μl, with a wide range of available flow rates, and step sizes as low as 8 nl. With pressure feedback from the ny ups sensor and flow damping from the compact BBRES reservoir, the SPS01 performs like an agile precision pressure source for the most demanding applica ons. Low Dead Volume, Easy Cleaning The SPS01 s unique syringe glass design directly connects to 360 μm OD capillary, 1/32 tubing, or 1/16 OD tubing via a LabSmith CapTite connector. The direct connec on eliminates adapters, resul ng in very low dead volumes. The pump body allows syringes to be easily removed and replaced, so a pump can be configured with a wide range of syringe volumes and interfaces. With nanoliter swept volumes and opera on pressures up to 5 kpsi, the AV series valves are ideal for most microfluidic rou ng applica ons. The AV201 selector valve has three ports and uses an L pa ern for flow rou ng. Fluid flow through AV201 valve The AV202 four-port sample valve routes the fluid simultaneously between two sets of adjacent ports. This valve, paired with two syringe pumps, can provide a con nuous delivery of solu on for a low flow-rate, long-dura on applica on. The six-port AV303 sample valve routes the fluid between three sets of adjacent ports, ideal for con nuous flow sample collec on and injec on. All valve models feature zero dead volume connec ons, rapid flow response me, low carryover, < 1 second switching, inert we ed materials, and zero hold power.
