Minutes from February Meeting -President Tom Constantine has returned from Kansas. He opened the meeting at 1:10. -New Business -- Springfest notes: ---Ladies are to bring dessert. ---Men are to bring a 12 pack of Name Brand NON DIET soft drinks and a bag of Name Brand Chips. There are many dips so chips that hold up to dipping are best. --- Volunteers are needed in many areas. If you can lend a hand at Helen contact Lillian Law or Al Hilderbrand and they can hook you up with a task. --We have paid our corporate dues for 2014. -- We talked about possibly having a picnic in July or August. Indian Springs was mentioned as a possible location. Tom Constantine said he would look into a possible venue. Nan Cook said she would chair the event if we do it. -Old Business --11 members did not renew including Tom Anderson, Fred Burnhardt, Mark Crowley, Al Johnson, Jerry Lamb, Felix Miller, Ron Thomas, Eric Walls, Larry Welk. If you know these people and wish to check to see if they forgot their renewal feel free to contact them directly. --Next meeting is our annual spring swap meet. It will be held on March 16 th at Bill and Jeanette Rudolph s house. --The Alabama and Tennessee clubs are having a picnic in Gunthersville on May the 10 th. Corvair Atlanta and Heart of Georgia members are invited to join them. At this point we have no organized push to do this as a group, feel free to contact them and go yourself if you would enjoy the outing. (Continued on Page 12) Page 2

Other cars with the same bolt pattern are: Buick: Regal, Century, Special (most mid-size) Chevrolet: most RWD, through 1/2 ton vans and trucks (includes S-10 and 4WD models) Corvette Jaguar XJ, XK Oldsmobile: 442, Cutlass, F-85, Toronado (most mid-size) Pontiac: GTO, LeMans, Firebird, Grand Prix (mid size) '64- '80's 1949-2005 all '69 - up '60's- '80's '64- '80's Some other measurements to note: Center Hole Diameter - The hole in the center of the wheel that the hub fits through. Earlies are 2 5/8", lates are 2.8". Backspacing - The distance from the inside of the rim to the point where the wheel contacts the brake drum. All car 5 1/2" wide wheels have a backspacing of 4 1/4". FC wheels have a backspace of 3 1/2". For reference, more backspace moves the wheel further in the wheelwell, less backspace brings it out. Maximum backspace for an early with 15" wheels is 5", late is 5 1/4". For FCs it's a little more complicated, 14" wheels are limited to the stock backspace because a deeper set wheel will hit the tie rod. Page 3
