KOMATSU NEWS Komatsu Europe was a major exhibitor at the Intermat 2015 international trade show for construction equipment and technology, which was held at Roissy-en- France near Paris from April 20 to April 25 2015. Although, the event fi nally recorded d a slightly lower number of visitors than the previous record breaking edition in 2012, in view of the uncertain economy it was indeed a success, for the organizers rs and for Komatsu. In 6 days, and despite a slow start der a particularly sunny April sky, 14101 exhibiting companies (+ 5%) from 37 un- countries attracted over 183.000 visitors from 168 countries, including many from Komatsu Europe at INTERMAT 2015: High Tech & Sun By Marc Blondeel Komatsu Highlights On a 3.000m2 stand in Hall 6, Komatsu Europe exhibited 25 machines, among which several European premieres. The 3 rd generation HB215LC-2 Hybrid excavator held centre stage along with 2 Komatsu intelligent Machine Control machines, a PC210LCi-10 excavator and the brand new D65Pxi-18 dozer. These revolutionary and innovative models imthe Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. The fi rst World of Concrete Europe platform was organized at Intermat 2015 to showcase the concrete industry and, alone, it attracted 200 exhibitors. Maryvonne Lanoë, Intermat Show Director declared: Intermat 2015 was a stepping stone in the chronicle of the internationally-announced recovery. The general consensus is that high-ranking visitors and project initiators made this a dynamic show that gave a confi dence boost to everyone working in the sector. 2 3

Today, Komatsu s unique intelligent Machine Control technology equips over 600 dozers and 100 excavators worldwide. Also, for the fi rst time in Europe, Komatsu presented the Dash 11 crawler excavators, a new PW148-10 wheeled excavator and a WA200-7 wheel loader with its PZ multi function linkage. Komatsu s EU Stage IV / Tier 4 Final engine technology was highlighted at Intermat, with an engine directly imported from Komatsu Limited in Japan. Stairs led visitors up to the cab of 11 machines, 3 of which with a live cab monitor panel. Komatsu Product Managers were standing by, close to each machine and ready to answer all questions from visitors. North of Hall 6, a special zone was dedicated to Excavators for special applications & interactive simulators. A Komatsu PC490-10 confi gured for High Reach Demolition was displayed there with a Komatsu JTHB breaker. In specially dedicated booths, and with 8 video walls disseminated across the stand, Komatsu offered in-depth information and personalised assistance about the company s high-tech product support and services such as KOMTRAX, Aftersales, Genuine Parts, Komatsu Qualifi ed Used Equipment, Komatsu Finance, and Komatsu CARE, Komatsu s exclusive complimentary maintenance program for customers. The large catering area welcomed visitors and Komatsu personnel for a well-deserved break. Three lounge areas and fi ve meeting rooms were available for private discussions and the effi cient and info counter team had a kind smile for everyone. 4 5

Demo area In the outdoor area, Komatsu Europe presented a full live demo featuring a new PC210LCi-10 excavator and a D61PXi-23 dozer working on a recreated 1000 m² jobsite. A giant screen showed closeups of the inside of the cabs along with graphic illustrations of the benefi ts of the new technology. A moderator interviewed a product specialist about Komatsu intelligent Machine Control, and all aspects of this Komatsu solution for customers were brought up and detailed. Shows were presented at regular intervals with interested crowds attending. 8 9
Technology for Your Success On Tuesday April 22, the KEISA press conference was introduced by Marc Wilson, President of Komatsu France, and close to 70 journalists from around the world participated. Ms Keiko Fujiwara, CEO and General Manager at Komatsu Europe presented Komatsu technologies and services as an answer to curb the current downtrend and to increase the profi ts of Komatsu customers. She also introduced the latest Komatsu machines and solutions and underlined their increased safety & precision, unrivalled effi ciency and outstanding durability. Success All-in-all, Intermat 2015 was another great success for Komatsu. International visitors came to our stand for valuable information about our exceptional products. Hundreds of contacts were made and a swarm of orders or intentions to buy were confi rmed. The Intermat fair remains an exceptional opportunity to present innovative Komatsu solutions and technologies. 10 11
