Using the Gratec Gasoline software
The Gratec Software is a sophisticated yet user friendly program in which configures the Gratec CNG or LPG system to perform with your vehicle. Software version 2.002 is our latest version which was released to our new OBD ECU.
Connecting to the Gratec ECU requires a special Gratec tuning cable. Steps to successfully connect: 1. Plug tuning cable into port on ECU and laptop 2. Press the Port then autoconnect button in the software (F10 key). You will know you are connected when the Status no longer blinks red in the lower left corner of software.
If connection cannot be made with the Gratec ECU please verify that you followed the correct steps in connecting. Press F10 to start autoconnect Make sure you are using an authentic Gratec tuning cable Make sure the most up to date software is being used Verify fuse is in fuse holder Verify 12 Volt ignition key has correct voltage readings and key is in the on position Start vehicle and verify same conditions
The Gratec ECU is designed with three different options when tuning. Beginner features, intermediate features and advanced feature. Step 1: Change parameter LPG or CNG. Step 2: Go through auto-calibration Step 3: Select Automatic Mapping to fine tune the injection system for all driving conditions. Step 4: Enable corrections from OBD. Enjoy driving the Gratec System!

GAS Temperature Correction optional tab that will allow you to adjust GAS mixture based on GAS temperature Reducer Temperature Correction optional tab that will allow you to adjust GAS mixture based on coolant temperature
Running this function prepares the injectors to switch to the CNG or LPG supply through the power of short pulses that are on the border of the injector actuation. This function is especially useful when the ambient temperature fluctuates around freezing. Select the number of cycles you wish injector warming feature to perform when in cold climate
Brightness: Brightness of LEDs on button Volume: select volume of buzzer Silent on/off: selection of when buzzer sounds Gas start: Vehicle will start on alternative fuel Extras to obtain menu select RPM and injection cut: if on, system will beep each time RPM or injection cutoffs are reached Empty tank beep : number of beeps when alternative fuel tank runs empty Error beep : number of beeps if ECU is alerted about CNG/LPG system error
External Relay Driver: if using an external driver please select when that driver will be activated and when It will be off. Service: Select service period until vehicle needs to come back to shop for service Extra Injection Sensitivity: some vehicles may require an increased injection sensitivity Accelerate Enrichment: to add some power when accelerating you will activate accelerate enrichment and adjust enrichment value
Collecting Gasoline Points: while driving vehicle on gasoline points (red) will automatically be collected to build the gasoline fuel map Collecting CNG/LPG Points: while driving the vehicle on the alternative fuel it will automatically collect points (green) for CNG/LPG fuel map Calculating Correction: after gathering gasoline and CNG/LPG fuel map if the graphs do not look similar you will press calculate map which will automatically fine tune your CNG/LPG fuel map to run like your gasoline engine
*ALL VALUES ARE PRESET DURING AUTO- CALIBRATION* Main Enrichment: main GAS correction of the overall CNG/LPG map Idle Correction: GAS correction while vehicle is at idle Work Pressure: the working pressure in the low GAS pressure line during normal idle condition
These values allow you to manually adjust the mixture throughout the graph and any given area. Click on the box you want to manually make changes and then select the +1,-1,+5 or -5 button to add or subtract fuel in that area Smooth will make changes to graph to smoothen the transition and not allow it to be so abrupt
This advanced tuning map allows for manual mixture adjustment at any point of the map This map is for advanced tuning only and is optional Simply select the spot of the graph and use the +1, - 1, +5 or -5 buttons to increase or decrease mixture in a given area
In the Diagnostic Bookmark you will find OBD correction settings as well as other OBD parameters, live data recorder and Gratec ECU system diagnostics information
Injectors tab allows you to turn some injectors to gasoline and others to the alternative fuel to diagnose a problem Sequence visualization allows you to set the switching of cylinders to match the OEM firing order
