pag. C-10 Description Rectangular fire damper with CE label in conformity to UNI-EN 15650, certified according to EN 1366-2, classified EI 120 S in accordance to EN 13501-3. Removable shifted kinematic mechanism in order to simplify the installation and to allow the eventual walled substitution. Release thermo-fuse with melting point certified at 70 C (72 C for motorised versions). Manual starting stick. Symmetric construction (blade in the box centre line) with resistance characteristics independent of fire origin direction. Tests Cold smokes passage seal with 300 Pa depression, on minimum and on maximum dimension damper (max. 200 m/h correct to 20 C, for at least 5 minutes). Thermo-isolation with temperature s increase control on box 4 sides in proximity to device, on device in proximity to box and on extraction duct, on maximum dimension damper (max. 180 C for each point, max. 140 C as points average). Hot smokes passage seal with 300 Pa depression, on maximum dimension damper (max. 360 m/h, correct to 20 C). Starting mechanism s solidity with 50 opening/closing cycles and following cold smokes seal test (first point). Thermo-fuse s intervention rapidity, that must release in two minutes from oven s ignition. Servomotor s solidity with functionality test after 10 000 opening/closing cycles for each of 4 disposable models (see Accessories section). Construction Galvanised sheet-steel box. Calcium silicate (external layers) and calcium sulphate (intermediate layer). Graphite base s thermo-expander. cold smokes seal s silicone gasket. Mineral fibre s thermo gasket. CE label (UNI-EN 15650) The fire damper TFER 30 is in conformity to UNI-EN 15650 and is provided of CE label, issued from legally certified institution. Dimensions B (mm) : 200-1500 (increments of 50) H (mm) : 200-800 (increments of 50) Versions TFER 30 (basic version) : it disposes from thermo-fuse locally directed release (fusion temperature certified at 70 C), manual starting stick and an end-stroke microinterruptor, signaling if the blade is in closing position (two contacts: NA and NC). As option it may have an interruption-current or currentlaunch electromagnet, for remote control s release (alarm control unit) and another end-stroke micro-interruptor (blade in opening position). Both can be easily added, also with already installed damper. TFER 30 M (version disposed for motor) : to be combined with a serie s ATF 2x servomotor, it disposes from thermo-fuse locally directed release, one internal and one external to the box (fusion temperature certified at 72 C), remote control release with current interruption, motorised starting and two end-stroke micro-interruptors, signaling blade s opening and closing position posizion (each one with two contacts: NA and NC). N.B. - The presence of at least one signaling micro-interruptor is recommended in conformity to UNI 10365 art. 4.9. To remember that the damper s running must be anyway guaranteed, also without electric current (art. 4.1 UNI 10365). Specifications Rectangular fire damper with CE label in conformity to UNI-EN 15650, certified according to EN 1366-2, classified EI 120 S in accordance to EN 13501-3. Suitable to installation on rigid vertical wall (also with two coupled units), light vertical wall (plasterboard) and horizontal slab. Removable shifted kinematic mechanism to simplify the installation. Release thermo-fuse calibrated at 70 C. Micro-interruptor notifying closed damper status. Manual starting stick.

pag. C-12 Installation N.B. A damper s fire resistance depends on device characteristics, that is the damper has not an own class resistance, but it s always depending on considered device. 1 - Rigid vertical wall N.B. Installation s operations (device s perforation, damper s positioning and filling) are completely described in the installation manual. N.B. The minimum distance between two fire dampers installed on two different ducts cannot be less than 200 mm. N.B. The minimum distance between the fire damper and structural elements around (ceiling, floor, walls) cannot be less than 75 mm. N.B. The 4 following installaton typology are allowed, corresponding to the tests conditions employed from certified laboratory. For each one, classification report allows the fire damper s employment in accordance to law, in the same conditions. 1 Rigid vertical wall Wall class REI 120 Wall thickness 100 mm Wall density 500 kg/m 3 Maximum duct dimensions (BxH) 1500x800 mm Damper class EI 120 S (300 Pa) ve i o 2 Rigid vertical wall - 2 vertical units (flange against flange) Wall class REI 120 Wall thickness 100 mm Wall density 500 kg/m 3 Maximum duct dimensions (BxH) 1500x1600 mm Damper class EI 120 S (300 Pa) ve i o 3 Lightweight insulated vertical wall (plasterboard + steel-wool + plasterboard) Wall class REI 120 Wall thickness 100 mm (25 + 50 + 25 mm) Wall density 100 kg/m 3 (steel-wool) Maximum duct dimensions (BxH) 1500x800 mm Damper class EI 120 S (300 Pa) ve i o 4 Horizontal slab Slab class REI 120 Slab thickness 150 mm Slab density 2200 kg/m 3 Maximum duct dimensions (BxH) 1500x800 mm Damper class EI 120 S (300 Pa) ho i o N.B. - As described in the installation manual, the air spaces resulting between the damper and its device must be filled with M10 or upper class mortar (EN 998-2).
pag. C-13 2 - Rigid vertical wall - 2 vertical units 3 - Lightweight insulated vertical wall Steel-wool lines Plates ATF 35 Plates ATF 35 N.B. - In case of flange against flange dampers (case 2) the couple must be executed through special plates ATF 35 (see Accessories section ) filling the gap between the two units with 100 kg/m 3 steel-wool lines (see Installation manual). N.B. - This installation typology is the most complicated one and requests to pay more attention : FCR disposes of an alternative solution called TFERS 30, that is a rectangular fire damper that keeps the same characteristics of TFER 30 but purposely conceived for fast assembly on plasterboard.
