KELTIC MARINE GROUP
WELCOME The Keltic Marine Group provides development, design, construction and management of specialized mission sensitive marine craft. The Group comprises highly experienced marine engineers, naval architects and seagoing professionals working with carefully selected partner shipyards qualified to build to each projects exacting standards.
ABOUT US Designs produced by our members include carriage trade pocket cruise ships, combat proven patrol boats and trawler yachts, one of which has completed a circumnavigation. Ships and small craft built by our member yards include rigid hull inflatable boats, search and rescue vessels, patrol boats, tugs, barges, miniature submarines, personnel carriers, landing craft and ferries. CASTLEMAN MARITIME Specialist tug boat naval architect s, Castleman Maritime have joined the Keltic Marine Group to make their advanced technology azimuth drive tug designs available to Keltic s international clientele and their partner shipbuilding yards. Castleman Maritime are leaders in the development of the Z-Drive Tractor Tug. Virtually 100% of the installed horsepower of these tugs can be directed instantly to control large ships in intricate maneuvering operations. Optional LNG or Dual Fuel propulsion systems will be available on new Castleman-Keltic models
MARINE DESIGN FKAB have delivered successful ship designs for over 50 years. This makes us an innovative and reliable partner from the first sketches to finished production documents and the delivered ship. Our customers are ship owners, shipyards, government agencies and energy providers all around the world. Our focus is sustainable ship solutions, the environment and life cycle costs are key drivers of our work, whether it is a high-speed passenger craft, offshore vessel, Tanker or a General Cargo Carrier! Energy efficiency, low emissions of SOx, NOx, CO2, good EEDI value has become increasingly important and are an integral part of FKAB's Total Design philosophy
SEAHUNTER PATROL BOATS Originally known as Enforcers, Arun Marine Design adapted sport racing boat designs to perform as early patrol boats which were constructed by several British builders. While battle proven in both Gulf wars, light fibreglass lamination combined with a wholly inadequate propulsion system, indicated that considerable improvement was needed to produce steadfast patrol boats that could meet multiple mission profiles for all theatres of operation and provide the best resources to bring the crew home safely. Keltic commissioned Arun Marine to incorporate Keltic s advanced composite technology and innovative propulsion specifications into modified Enforcer lines to produce the new generation Seahunters. These vessels have reduced radar, thermal and acoustic signatures, ballistic protection, minimized combatant fatigue and air transportable capability. Newer Seahunters can be operated as unmanned surface vessels (USV s) with control from motherships, AWAC s,uav s or shore bases.

PILOT BOATS & FIREFIGHTERS Outside of the United States, pilot boats and firefighting vessels designed by C. Raymond Hunt are constructed under licence by Keltic Group building yards. Hunt designs are one of the most respected names in pilot boat naval architecture with over eighty vessels in service. They have proven themselves every year in the hurricane zones of the North Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. Pilots face a unique set of conditions and the boats which take them to ships need to function in the worst weather, take rough treatment and still go fast enough to deliver pilots to bridge decks in an economical amount of time. The Hunt Deep-V hull is a proven rough-weather performer, with a high dead-rise bottom, spray deflecting strips and chine, flat and flared topsides. This shape works well at planing speeds in head seas and following seas, minimizes roll in cross seas and retains good control at displacement speeds in gale conditions.
UNMANNED SURFACE VESSELS & MOTHERSHIPS Operated by remote control, Keltic Unmanned Surface Vessels can undertake dangerous combat, pilot rescue or mine hunting missions without endangering human life. They can be deployed from a shore base, road trailer, naval vessel or airdropped from a C-130 J aircraft. The USV hull & superstructure lines minimize radar signature and the machinery is insulated and mounted to reduce acoustic and thermal imaging. Keltic 700 USV Keltic USV s can also be used as manned patrol boats and can carry two crew members seated in high specification shock mitigating seats in order to minimize spinal injury when operating at extremely high speeds. Operating range is dependent of the height of the radio control antenna which can be increased by locating on a hill, mountain, larger vessel, high altitude Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or an AWAC's military aircraft. Rapid launch and recovery can be achieved from a retro fitted naval vessel or dedicated mothership such as the Castleman 5000 which can also serve as a fast patrol boat, fleet replenishment vessel, troop carrier and clandestine underwater surveillance platform. EXPLORER 24 HOVERCRAFT High Speed Amphibious Search and Rescue Craft Law Enforcement & Border Protection Missions Water and Ice Taxi Services Lower Capital & Operating Cost than a Helicopter Hovercraft can be used on fast flowing water such as flooded rivers as current has little effect on craft when hovering. This means the pilot is able to maintain speed and direction or even remain stationary, maintaining position to carry out rescues without fighting the current. Hovercraft can be operated over underwater obstructions such as fences, walls and debris without hindrance and there is no propeller to foul. Very simply, if you can t see an obstruction you can t hit it. No propeller in the water means less risk to casualties in the water or crew when working close to the craft. Hovercraft can be used on mixed surfaces where boats cannot be effective such as areas which require negotiating water and dry areas to get to casualties or working sites and can cross water to work on areas of dry or unflooded land. As well as working over deep water, the hovercraft can work on tidal or river areas, marshlands, lakes, shoals, mud flats, tundra, and frozen waters and thin or broken.
