LEs are 0.72 watts. Xenon lamps are available at watt, watt, or watt. Xenon lamps have the voltage an rating stampe on the glass at one en. Each Avantage fixture is labele with wattage an operating voltage. The voltage an lamp rating are stampe on one en of the xenon lamps. 24/ Socket Sie View LE Moule Socket Sie View Xenon Lamp escription Light Source Watt Xenon Watt Xenon Watt Xenon 0.72 Watt LE 0.72 Watt LE Watt Cool White Xenon Watt Cool White Xenon Part No. XB-F XB-F XB-8F AVLE-WW AVLE-IW XB-FB XB-8FB Seconary Circuit Limitation The maximum loa of each fixture must not excee 480 Watts (20 amps @ 24 Volts). In aition to this limitation, consieration must be given to the effects of voltage rop. Fixtures with lower wattage lamps (such as LEs) an more istant socket spacing have recommene maximum lengths less than 480 Watts. T Seconary Circuit Limitation Each seconary circuit MUST NOT excee 20 amps (480 watts @ 24VAC) This chart gives recommene maximum lengths which take into account these two limitations. Conforming to these lengths will ensure no fixture excees 480 Watts, an will not be subjecte to excessive voltage rop. Avantage Instructions Page 2 Step 1: Mounting Fixtures Option 1 - irect Screw Mounting (Part# AV-MS) Each LE or lamp socket, has four mounting holes esigne to accept screws. For secure mounting, use two screws in opposing holes. Sockets must be firmly attache to support the weight of the fixture., 4 an 6 socket spacing Seamless Light Avantage fixtures are flexible enough to turn corners without the use of special harware, eliminating ark spots at corner locations. 2.4 socket spacing Option 2 - Mounting Channel (Part# AV-MC) An optional mounting channel may have been provie with your materials. Screw the channel securely in place, then snap each socket into the channel. Attach screws every 8. Option 2A - Channel Clamps (Part# AV-CL) These clamps are for use with our AV-MC Mounting Channel. Screw the clamps securely in place, then snap in the channel. Attach clamps every 8. Attach screws every 8 Mounting Channel conforms to a 24 insie or outsie raius. Channel Clamp En Caps - Part# EC-WH (White) / Part# EC-BK (Black) Ens caps are attache to the en of each Avantage lighting fixture. If the fixture nees to be trimme, a new en cap nees to be attache to the en of the fixture after trimming. En Cap / Heat Consieration Xenon lamps prouce heat an will cause amage if they come in irect contact with persons or combustible materials. In accorance with NEC/NFPA 70 Article 410.11, combustible materials next to fixtures must not be subjecte to temperatures in excess of 90º C (194º F). In orer to conform to this stanar, fixtures nee to be installe accoring to the minimum space requirements shown below. 1 1 2 2 With Reflector 2.4 O.C. Watts Watts 4 Watts 1 2 1 2.. Watts 1 2 1.2 2

Symmetrical reflectors (#AVWH/BK-REF-S) must be attache before lamps are installe. Push the plastic reflector base irectly over the socket until it is firmly seate in place. Asymmetrical reflectors (#AVWH/BK-REF-A) may be attache after lamps or LEs have been installe. Push other sie of LE or Lamp straight own. o Not Twist. Lamp Replacement 1. Remove lamps from socket by pulling irectly out (o Not Twist). 2. Replace lamps only with the same or lower wattage lamp. Installing Clear Lens - Part# AV-LNS Your fixture may have been provie with clear lens covers. Push the lens irectly over the top of the socket. When properly seate between the two catches on the sie of the socket, the lens will be securely fastene an not move from sie to sie. Avantage Instructions Page 4 Step : Seconary Wiring Mini Junction Box Connectors - Part# AV-JBOX If installation involves running wire through a builing structure, conuit may be require to fee the fixture. A miniature junction box is available with a 1/Ø knockout for use with conuit fittings. The terminal block insie the junction box accepts 14-8 AWG wire. All seconary circuit wiring must conform to the National Electrical Coe an all applicable coes. Remove AV-JBOX Cover Screw AV-JBOX firmly in place Install Strain-Relief Maximum 480 Watts (20 Amps) per connection AV-CONN insie AV-JBOX Terminal Block Connectors - Part# AV-CONN Avantage Series fixtures may have been provie with terminal block connectors. One en of this connector screws irectly to the Avantage fixture, an the other en accepts 14-8 AWG wire. A screw hole is provie in the center of the connector for secure mounting. AV-CONN Terminal Block T-Connection System - Part# AV-TCON Our T-Connection system can fee multiple fixtures from a single wiring harness. Female connectors are attache to the main harness at any interval an the mating male connectors attach to each en of the fixture. T-Connector When attaching wire to terminals, make certain the insulation is strippe an the connection is mae so no live conuctors are expose. Live conuctor must be within connector housing
Avantage Instructions Page Step 4: Instructions Location The maximum recommene istance between the fixture an the transformer varies, base upon the loa of each fixture an the size of seconary wire feeing the fixture. It is impossible to give a efinitive istance without consiering all the variables. Electrical engineers an contractors can calculate these istances. Shoul you nee guiance, consult the factory. Larger capacity transformers with multiple outputs can be centrally locate an fee fixtures in either irection. Input Voltage o not excee maximum fixture length o not excee transformer output rating Seconary Circuit Protection s are provie with circuit breakers to protect seconary circuits. The maximum size circuit breaker on a transformer is 2 amps, but the circuit wire to the breaker MUST NOT EXCEE 20 AMPS. There are several transformer sizes available, an ifferent size breakers installe in them. Below is a selection of transformers with their respective circuit limitations. 1000 Watt 960 Watts Max. 00 Watt 1 A Max. Loa 12. Amps 00 Watts @ 24 VAC 70 Watt 70 Watts Max. 20 Watt 1 A Max. Loa 10.4 Amps 20 Watts @ 24 VAC 00 Watt 480 Watts Max. 100 Watt 7 A Max. Loa 4.1 Amps 100 Watts @ 24 VAC s shoul be installe in an accessible location. Magnetic transformers generate heat an must be installe in locations where there is free-air circulation. Electronic transformers require less space to issipate heat, but they too shoul be installe in accessible locations with free-air circulation. For aitional information, please refer to the instruction manual provie with your transformer. Version 1.0
