Another advantage is the easy maintenance due to very few electronic components. Usually the circuity would comprise a transformer, bridge-rectifier and output fuse for over-current protection. The term power supply would imply that the supply of power is regulated by means of an electronic control circuit. A transformer rectifier is generally unregulated i.e. the voltage can vary depending on the load current, but this is quite acceptable in many applications. We also offer a simple solution to obtain rectified 3 phase power. This transformer rectifier is powered by 400V 3-phase power and provides a single output of 110VDC @ 5 Amps. A rectifier like this is suitable to mount into an existing cabinet and therefore does not need its own enclosure, which makes it more affordable.

MOBILE POWER SUPPLY. 125VDC @ 25 AMPS Power supplies like this are ideal for standby power on 110VDC systems when the main power supply or battery charger fails. These power supplies have kept railway signal stations online while the main source of power was being repaired. The voltage is variable between 0 125 volts and the current limit can be adjusted between 0-25 amps to ensure that the load or batteries are protected. The only source of power is the 3kV DC form the overhead line. The high voltage connection of this unit is mounted up onto the 3kV mast which feeds the low voltage section installed in the signal room where 24VDC is generated.
