From Clean Sky towards Clean Sky 2 Systems ITD follows and expands Clean Sky SGO activities Management of Trajectory and mission will be included in wider, more integrated cockpit & mission demonstrations (and in landing gear WP for SOG) Management of Aircraft Energy will carry on in WPs dedicated to innovative wing, electrical chain, new activities will address other issues in aircraft power management. Demonstrators and test rigs used in Clean Sky will be continued in Clean Sky 2 and completed with new integration environments. Systems ITD will focus on demonstration and tight integration with IADPs. Systems ITD IADPs TRL up to 5 5/6

High-Level Objectives Direct contributions to environmental objectives: CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, perceived noise, air quality, weight gain. Enablers for major innovations: innovative engines, new aircraft configurations. Enablers for air transport system optimisation: SESAR, NextGen and Clean Sky for greening, improved mobility or ATS efficiency Smart answers to market demands: increase of intrinsic performance to meet new aircraft needs without a corresponding increase in weight and volume

Demonstration on ground foreseen to be integrated on GETI, and dedicated aircraft application. Identified Partner contribution expected: Technologies (Magnetic and composite materials, oil cooling (pump), high speed bearing), assessments and test bench development TRL objectives: 5 to 6.

Active Power Conversion for DC & AC/DC Networks : Identified Partner contribution expected: Technologies (Magnetic material, high temperature components, less sensible sensors, power electronic packaging), assessments and test bench development. TRL objectives: 5/6.

WP 5: Electrical Chain Power Distribution Project: Innovative Electrical Network (IEN) Activities: Demonstration steered by innovative architectures concepts and technologies: Global ATA 24 / 92 approach for optimisation. EWIS technologies & health monitoring Power conversion and distribution (NGAPMU concept) Highly decentralized & innovative power distribution: Demonstration on ground foreseen to be integrated on COPPER Bird (power distribution and management), to be tested with other CS2 Safran demo (IEN, ALS) and additional sources & loads from other suppliers.
