The hours during whih the day and night harges apply for non quarterhourly metered ustomers are ontrolled by time swithes at the ustomer s premises. The day rate is appliable to kwh metered between 8.00 a.m. and 11.00 p.m. (GMT). As no alterations are made to time swithes at the beginning and end of summertime, the hours during the summer time are one hour later (i.e. 9.00am to 12.00am). For quarter-hourly metered ustomers day rates apply 8.00 am to 11.00pm summer and winter. 2. The night /kwh rates are appliable to night storage heating, whih is separately metered and ontrolled by a time swith. 3. The published Standing Charges are per annum, atual harges are pro-rated per billing period. 4. For low voltage non-domesti ustomers, the low power fator surharge applies to all kvarh reorded in any two monthly period if: The metered kvarh is more than one third of the metered kwh in any two monthly period. The harge is appliable to the kvarh in exess of one third of the kwh. The Low Power Fator Surharge does not apply to ustomers with MEC>0. 5. For ombined residential and business premises, DUoS Group 5 (DG5) rates will apply. 6. An Autoproduer (AP) is as defined in CER s Diretion CER03/237. 7. DUoS Group 5 or DUoS Group 5b apply to low voltage APs and CHP produers (non Maximum Demand): With Maximum Import Capaity (MIC) > Maximum Export Capaity (MEC); or, Who have not bought out their onnetion agreement. Where suh APs and CHPs have on-line interval metering installed, the DG5b tariff will apply; this means that the unit harges will be alulated based on netted onsumption. Where suh APs and CHPs do not have on-line metering installed the DG5 tariff applies. DUoS Group 5a applies to generators (inluding autoproduers) whih have an MEC greater than the MIC and whih have paid 100% of the onnetion osts. Page 6 of 11

DG6, DG6a and DG6b: The hours during whih the day and night harges apply for non quarter-hourly metered ustomers are ontrolled by time swithes at the ustomer s premises. The day rate is appliable to kwh metered between 8.00 a.m. and 11.00 p.m. (GMT). The low power fator surharge applies when the metered kvarh is more than one third of the metered kwh in any two monthly period where NQH metering is installed or any monthly period where on-line interval (QH) metering is installed. The harge is appliable to the kvarh in exess of one third of the kwh for the billing period. The Low Power Fator Surharge does not apply to ustomers with MEC>0. 4. The published Standing Charges and Capaity Charges are per annum, atual harges will be pro-rated per billing period. 5. In the event that the peak demand (in kva), exeeds the maximum import apaity (MIC), a surharge of 6 x apaity harge rate x exess kva will apply in the billing period for NQH installations and 5 x apaity harge rate x exess kva for QH installations in the billing period, during whih the MIC was exeeded. Please note that for autoproduers or generators, in the event that peak demand exeeds their MIC, the surharge whih will apply will be as per other ustomers in the DG group e.g. if autoproduer is DG6a, then the surharge to apply will be as per DG6. 6. Where there are two onnetions at different voltages at the same onnetion point, i.e. to a single site, the relevant DUoS harges apply in full to eah onnetion. 7. Tariff groups 6, 7, 8, 9 or 6b, 7b, 8b, 9b apply to APs and CHP Produers (MD) where: These APs and CHP produers have an MIC > MEC; or, These APs and CHP produers have not bought out their onnetion agreement. Where suh APs and CHPs have on-line interval metering installed, the relevant DGb tariff will apply; this means that the unit harges will be alulated based on netted onsumption. Where suh APs and CHPs do not have on-line metering installed the relevant DG tariff applies. The relevant DGa tariff will apply to generators (inluding autoproduers) whih have an MEC greater than the MIC and whih have paid 100% of the onnetion osts). Page 11 of 11
