The Hella ADR Installation Guide The following pages are a guide to installing Hella Lamps in compliance with the Australian Design Rules (ADRs). The diagrams used are only intended as a general guide, and for exact mounting specifications, please refer to ADR 3/00. Australian Design Rules (ADRs) On the st October, Australia introduced stringent mandatory regulations for all vehicles COMPLIANT manufactured on or after that date. These regulations, known as 3rd Edition Australian Design Rules (ADRs), stipulate minimum performance and design standards for particular vehicle safety features. Hella supplies over 00 products complying with current ADRs including headlamps, reversing lamps, indicator lamps, reflectors and filament globes. Side Marker and ) Retro Reflectors Front and Rear Position (Side) Lamps, and End-Outline Marker Lamps including centre high mounted Filament Globes Rear Fog Lamps ECE specification The 3rd Edition ADRs cover all vehicles and trailers, even those not subject to registration requirements such as very light trailers or box trailers. The onus is on the manufacturer of motor vehicles, buses, trailers etc. to satisfy the certification board that the lamps are fitted exactly as prescribed in our instruction sheets and in accordance with ADR 3/00. To simplify the ADR approval process for smaller manufactures and individual vehicle builders, Hella has made a consolidated Summary of Evidence (SE) submission to the Federal Office of Road Safety (FORS) covering all Hella products that comply with 3rd Edition ADRs.
