BQE stool/chairs The stools from Back Quality Ergonomics are designed to facilitate a better sitting position in order to prevent and combat possible back, neck and shoulder complaints. Our stool line is the result of years of ergonomic studies, experience in the physiotherapy practice and at the Back Training and Advisory Centre in The Hague, the Netherlands. It is generally known, that in order to perform sitting work in a healthy way the combination of active and passive sitting positions is recommended. You assume an active position if you are sitting on the edge of the seat and lean forward with a slightly hollow back (not using the back support, but your muscles). This position is medically correct but cannot be maintained for a long time. A passive position is less tiring, but often happens with the rounded back (slumping/sliding bottom forward). The regular alternation between the active and passive positions reduces the pressure in the intervertebral disk and minimises the irritation or stretching of the sensitive ligaments. That is why one needs a stool with a tilting mechanism and a good back support. The small and round back support of the Dynamic, the CorrectSit and the ErgoSolex ensures an optimal freedom of movement and prevents the slumping of the spine. The triangle shaped seat. The majority of the stools (with the exception of fixed models) have the tilting mechanism and a triangle-shaped seat, which enables you to assume a higher sitting position (100-110 seat angle). Your knees are lower than your hips, which facilitates opening of the hip angle and, as a result, makes it easier to maintain the lumbar curve. The square-shaped seat. The back support of the ComfortMove is bigger and is perfectly comfortable for the user, who is looking for more support. The special flexible suspension system of the seat and the back support move automatically, which makes sitting on the ComfortMove dynamic and very pleasant. Dynamic (fully automatic) The Dynamic has the unique patented scissor mechanism. The Dynamic links the two sitting positions with a tilting mechanism. When in the active position, the seat has a positive inclination of 3 degrees. In this way it s easier for the spine to move into the (least stressing) lordosis position. When the centre of gravity is moved slightly backwards, often because of the tiredness, the seat tilts 6 degrees backwards. At the same time the lumbar support automatically moved forward, guaranteeing the lordosis position during passive sitting. In both of the positions the pressure upon the discs remains low. The re-adjustment is not necessary once the stool is well adjusted. The Dynamic is the most advanced work stool. Its input in the prevention and cure of the low back complaints is during many years proved in many different situations. ComfortMove (semi-automatic) The ComfortMove is the only BQE chair without the triangle seat. It combines the comfort of the 5 cm thick upholstery and a flexible suspension of the seat and the back rest. The special form of the seat enables a better weight distribution which prevents the pressure elevation of the blood vessels. The bigger back support of the ComfortMove adjusts to any form of the back and makes this chair suitable for the user, who is looking for more back support in the lumbar and lower thoracic area during the long-lasting sitting activities. The seat and the back rest can move together with the user providing the optimal support in slightly different sitting positions. The square seat is specially developed for the users, who don t want to seat on a triangular seat or experience too much pressure while using a triangular seat. the wide back support of a ComfortMove is ideal for the people who are looking for more support during the long work hours. If the frequent alternation between active and passive sitting is not required in your activities, the CorrectSit is a good alternative for the Dynamic. ErgoSolex (manual) The ErgoSolex is a work stool that can be used for the sitting as well as for the stand activities. The back section of the saddle is wide and can be used while sitting. The smaller front section makes the higher or even stand work position possible for the user.
