B-375-D Instructions X) Please read the installation instruction manual in its entirety before installing B-375 Spill Bucket products. Failure to follow the directions contained in this booklet may: cause the product to fail, cause your personal or company certification to be revoked or suspended, cause personal injury or property damage and/or void the product warranty. XX) Your Bravo Systems B-375-D DoubleWall Spill Bucket ships from the factory under continuous monitoring. Remove the product from its packaging and inspect for damage, leaks, cracks or fluid within the bucket and/or its packaging. Inspect the visual level gauge for a PASS test (Page 3). Check this throughout the installation to ensure integrity. XXX) DO NOT REMOVE THE FACTORY-INSTALLED GRADE TOOL UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE POURED AND SET THE CONCRETE SLAB. This tool keeps the Cast ring from moving during installation. FACTORY-INSTALLED GRADE TOOL 4 B375-D-10B
RISER AND ANTI-ROTATION BRACKET INSTALLATION 1) Mark your finish grade with a string line. Prepare your 4 Riser. OPTIONAL: Prepare a 4 coupler and 4 ø x 12 Nipple to top your riser. 2) RECOMMENDED: Install the nipple and coupler on your riser so the top of the nipple reflects the appropriate distance to the grade line. This allows easier spill bucket upgrades in the future. Bravo Bucket Series: B-375-D (7-1/2 Gallon) Distance to Grade: 23-1/4 The B-375 Series Spill Buckets must have a concrete crest. The Distance to grade allows for this crest to rise 1 above your grade. DO NOT MEASURE YOUR DISTANCE FROM THE TOP OF Distance to Grade Future Concrete crest 23-1/4 Riser/ Nipple Anti-Rotation Bar 6 Minimum 4 Coupler (OPTIONAL) 4 ø Riser to Tank 3) Install the Anti-Rotation Bar to the nipple / riser 6 below the top edge of the nipple (Above). TIGHTEN WELL, THIS DEVICE PREVENTS BACKING OFF THE RISER FROM THE TANK BUNG IN THE CASE OF SPILL BUCKET REMOVAL!! 5 B375-D-10B
4) Then Install your Shield Ring to the riser pipe 3 below the top edge of the nipple/riser. You do not need the Shield Ring or protective fiberglass skirt if installed within a Tank Sump. Nipple or Riser Set Screws 3 Shield Ring 6 Anti-Rotation Bar 4) Apply a UL-Approved thread paste to the nipple / riser threads and the interior threads at the bottom of the Bravo B-375-D Spill Bucket. FIG. 7 6) Carefully align the Spill Bucket to the riser pipe and begin to slowly thread down by hand. 7) After hand tightening the bucket, insert the Bravo Tool T-B375 into the adapter grooves and tighten down with a torque of 200 ft-lbs minimum to a maximum of 250 ft-lbs. (Fig. 7) 8) Following the guideline below (Fig. 8) you must pay attention to the orientation of your planned concrete pad and the direction of your rebar grid. The Spill Bucket tabs located on all 4 corners of the upper outer edge must be oriented to match your rebar layout. 9) Backfill around your Spill Bucket in preparation for your concrete pad. FIG. 8 SIDE VIEW YOUR B-375 SPILL BUCKET MUST BE TORQUED DOWN SO THE SKIRT GUIDES FOR YOUR GRID WILL MATCH WITH YOUR GRID DIRECTIONS. 6 B375-D-10B

REMOVE YOUR GRADE TOOL FOR THESE STEPS =OPTIONAL= 10) Next cut your Drop Tube to appropriate length. DO NOT CUT DROP TUBE END AT 45 ANGLE! Instead, cut the bottom square. (Fig. 10) Consult drop tube manufacturers guidelines. FIG. 10 Bravo Systems highly recommends an O-Ring style gasket instead of the standard flat gasket for use with the Drop Tube. The material must be UL Approved and resistant to gasoline, its vapors or additives. Check with your local, State or Federal regulatory authority. =OPTIONAL= 11) Install a gasket to the Drop Tube. Insert drop tube and then thread in the Drop Tube Compression Ring by hand. Use the Bravo Tool T-B375 to tighten until snug. (Fig. 11) 12) Your adapter must have a 2 clearance from the underside of the spill bucket cover. (Fig. 12) 13) Use a GENEROUS amount of UL Approved thread paste on the threads of the nipple and interior threads of coupling. Install your nipple using a pipe chain wrench. Torque to 100-150 ft-lbs. Bravo Tool T-B375 Drop Tube 2 Inches FIG. 11 Drop Tube Compression ring Gasket (UNDER THE DROP TUBE) FIG. 12 BE CAREFUL! DO NOT IMPACT THE TOOL AGAINST THE INTERIOR OF THE BUCKET OR ITS COMPONENTS. 14) Hand thread your adapter onto the nipple. Tighten using your adapter manufacturers torque tool to the specified torque. Bravo Systems Swivel Adapters are Highly Recommended for use with this product. 8 B375-D-10B

WATER INTRUSION After final installation, ensure the interior is dry and free of liquids, contaminants and/or debris, seal the cover to the cast ring and spray the top with water for 3-5 minutes from 6 foot distance. If water is within the interior after this time, inspect the seal on the cover for damage and replace if necessary. FOR FREEZING CONDITIONS, A BRAVO SYSTEMS WATER ABSORBENT SOCK MUST BE USED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SPILL CONTAINER. MAINTENANCE & TESTING INSTRUCTIONS Monthly Inspection: Visually Inspect the interior of the Bravo DoubleWall Spill Bucket for signs of debris or liquids. Remove any debris or grit from the bottom of the bucket. Liquids must be removed by absorbant towels. Check the condition of the cast ring, cover, and fiberglass wall. The sight glass tester should show a yellow color indicating a Passing DoubleWall interstitial test. The corrugated plastic meant to protect the bucket walls during initial installation may be either: in place, discolored, or damaged. These can be removed during post-installation inspection or maintenance. Fuel at the bottom must be drained into the tank using the drain valve. Water must be removed or absorbed. If absorbant socks are present at the bottom, replace them as necessary. Check the concrete around ring for signs of cracking. Also inspect the condition of the flexible seals under the cover. DO NOT LEAVE ABSORBANT MATERIALS IN THE SPILL BUCKET WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED. DISPOSE OF THEM PROPERLY, per local, state, or federal regulations. New Installation & Annual Testing: The B-350-DO Double Wall Spill Bucket is Continuously Monitored. The interstice is monitored by a volume of propylene glycol. The walls cannot seperate from one another, nor bulge from an increase in pressure. The interstitial fluid cannot evaporate from this closed system. The propylene glycol is filled and sealed by the factory. You need to only visually inspect from above. TEST PASSES IF: There is a yellow color indicator visible inside the sight-glass. TEST FAILS IF: There is no visible yellow color and the sight glass shows nothing but black. PASS FAIL Replacement: Unthread bucket from the riser pipe following the installation guidelines in this manual. Clean all threads carefully and re-apply UL approved thread paste. Carefully align new Spill Bucket and thread on per the instructions outlined in this Installation Manual. 10 B375-D-10B
