Installation Overview The installation of the AGI-3 auto-steer system is divided into 3 main parts: 1. 2. 3. Installing the AGI-3 Antenna Connecting System 150 Steer Interface Harness Connecting Power Harness The installation of the AGA3858 kit will take approximately 2 hours. By following the instructions in this manual, you should be able to perform a successful fit-up of your autosteering system. Safety Guidelines Do not perform the installation while the tractor is running. Ensure that the tractor has been turned off and has been left to cool down before performing the installation. Do not perform the installation alone. Ensure there is someone with you at all times to both assist you and also to obtain help should any injuries occur during the installation. The installation involves climbing on and under the tractor, so ensure that you are wearing the appropriate attire and footwear. Covered shoes with good traction are a must. To protect yourself from cuts, scrapes, dirt and dust, wear clothing that covers your arms and legs completely. It is very important that the harnesses are positioned neatly, securely and safely away from anything that may pinch, crush, melt, cut or damage the harness in any way. Inside the cabin, attempt to route the harness along the edge either on the floor, along a bar or within the wall of the cabin. This keeps the harness out of the way during normal operations and avoids accidentally tripping over or pulling the harness. Outside the cabin, ensure that none of the harnesses are loose and that they do not sway or swing around when the tractor is in motion. Damage on harnesses outside the cabin mainly occurs due to getting crushed between moving parts or melted when routed over surfaces that get very hot during tractor operations. Because of this, it is important that you follow the installation guidelines and associated warnings particularly when routing the harness outside the cabin. It is recommended that the power connector only be attached at the end of the installation to prevent any risk of electrocution during the installation. AGA3847 Rev 1.4 1-3
