(No business/commercial or industrial rubbish) > Household Recyclables are collected every other week on your regular scheduled rubbish day. ROLLING COVERED CARTS: Carts are the property of the Town of Middleborough. In the case a cart participant chooses to opt out of the program or moves from the residence, the Department of Public Works must be notified to schedule an appointment to retrieve the carts. Damaged Carts (i.e. wheels, axle) to be repaired by the Town of Middleborough Department of Public Works upon request to 508-946-2481 or email dpwweb@middleborough.com Lost or Stolen Carts- Residents are responsible to notify the Town of Middleborough DPW of lost or stolen carts. If stolen, replacement carts to be provided at no charge upon submittal of a police report. Overflow trash must be in town trash bag and brought to the landfill for disposal, located at 207 Plympton Street, Middleborough. PRIVATE WAYS / NON AUTOMATED: Customers are required to purchase Town trash bags. Bags can be purchased at the Department of Public Works, 48 Wareham Street. Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30, as well as local stores. All rubbish MUST BE IN TRASH BARRELS with your house number and street clearly marked on barrel. This will be strictly enforced. Rubbish barrels should have covers on them to prevent rain /snow/water build up inside. Barrels must have handles, no larger than 55 gallon, and be in good condition. The Following are NOT collected by the Sanitation Division:. NEEDLES / SHARPS are to be taken to the Health Department or Fire Department for disposal..
