Installation wiring harnesses General roof harness installation procedures for all lighting but arrowstick. See specific installation instructions later in this catalog. LH Beacon 1088110 RH Beacon There are only two different roof harnesses needed to install everything listed in this catalog. Depending on your configuration, you may only need one and have connectors left over. The roof lighting harness item K (PN 1100257) is used for front or rear lights. For installing both front and rear lights, two harnesses are utilized. When two rear beacons are desired, harness L (PN 1088110) is used to split the beacon lead connection on the roof lighting harness. Add splitter for dual beacons in rear or dual worklights in front (not shown in catalog) 1100257 Rear mount 1100257 Front mount Install - 4

Installation wiring the lightbar Before mounting lightbar, install harness with nylon ties (not included) to front or rear light bar. Position connectors when appropriate per the general wiring diagram. Installation rear light mounting channel 1. Get a helper to hold the rear light mounting channel (1) to the back of the cab. Orient the channel as shown in the drawing so the bolt holes line up. 2. Have fasteners ready to install. 3. Install 2 hex head cap screws (2) with lock washers (3) and flat washers (4) through the channel (1) and into existing holes in the back of the cab. 4. Tighten the cap screw until the channel is secure. Installation front light mounting channel 1. Tie wrap harness to bar positioning connector when appropriate per the wiring the lightbar section. 2. Install 4 nut retainers (4) in RH and LH front brackets (2) and (3). 3. Secure RH and LH brackets to cab with 4 cap screws (9), 8 A/N plain washers (8) and 4 elastic stop nuts (5). 4. Get a helper to hold the front light mounting channel to the front of the cab. Orient the channel as shown in the drawing so the bolt holes line up. 5. Have fasteners ready to install. 6. Install 4 hex head cap screws (5) with 4 lock washers (7) and 4 A/W flat washers (6) thru the channel and into the nut retainers in the RH and LH brackets. 7. Tighten the cap screws until the channel is secure. Install - 5

Installation pivot bracket and beacons to rear light bar 1. Install 6 bearing clips (3) in to holes in each pivot bracket (2). 2. Install rubber grommet (5) in to big hole in each pivot bracket (2). 3. Attach each pivot bracket (2) to rear light mounting channel with 4 cap screws (8), 8 plain washers (9) and 4 elastic stop nuts (10). 4. Install 2 molded bumpers (4) in to each pivot bracket (2). 5. Install 4 bearing clips (3) in to holes in each beacon mount (1). Install - 6

6 Line up mounting holes of beacon mount to holes in pivot bracket. 7. Secure the beacon mount to the pivot bracket with 2 clevis pins (7) and 2 hairpin cotter pins (6). 8. Install LED or incandecent beacon assemblies (1) with their vibration kits to each beacon mount with 2 plain washers and 2 nuts, part of the beacon and light assembly. Thread both beacon and light assembly harnesses down thru grommet (2). Note: The steps above show the left beacon and bracket. The beacon and bracket may be installed on either the left, right, or both. 9. Attach each guard (1) to each beacon mount with 4 cap screws (2), 8 plain washers (3) and 4 elastic stop nuts (4). Install - 7

Installation I. D. lights 1. Feed wiring harness leads thru holes in front light mounting channel. 2. Pop the LED I. D. lights into the holes until they are securely seated. 3. Attach connectors. 4. The I.D. lights will illuminate with the head lamp switch. Installation 4 sweep flashers 1. Position the 4 rubber gaskets in the mounting holes for the sweep flashers amber lights. 2. Guide the amber lights wiring harnesses thru the mounting holes. 3. Position the 4 amber lights in to the 4 rubber gaskets until they are seated snugly. 4. Attach connectors. Install - 8

Installation added lighting rocker switches 1. Remove the appropriate lighting switch blank and discard it. Locate the proper unused connector on the harness. Each switch connector wire is stamped with the function. Attach the harness plug to the new switch and insert the switch into the console. 2. Verify that the newly installed lighting works correctly with the newly installed switch. Note: Switch positions for front work lights and auxiliary lighting shown, but are not included in this catalog. Auxiliary Front Work Light Beacon/Stobe Sweep Flashers Install - 9

Installation - Arrowstick 1. Thread Arrowstick harness thru hole in rear mounting channel and in to cab. 2. Attach Arrowstick (1) to rear mounting channel with 4 lock washers (10) and 4 each 0.250 hex jam nuts (11). 3. Remove rear dome light rail to access plug for Arrowstick harness. 4. Remove plug, pull harness through opening. 5 Route Arrowstick harness into center channel inside cab roof, tucked next to headliner as shown. 6. Pull harness down thru front headliner cover. 7. Install rubber grommet (3) on harness and position it in hole in headliner cover. 8. Connect Arrowstick harness to controller (2) as follows: refer to drawing 1100623. 9. Install mounting bracket, part of controller (2), with 2 cap screws (9), 4 flat washers (8) and 2 #10 regular hex nuts (7). 10. Install controller (2) the mounting bracket. 11. Install controller to mounting bracket. 12. Test Arrowstick installation by activating all the functions of the controller, per instructions in the controller manual. Ignition switch should be in the off position. 13. Turn on key, start engine, turn on all electrical functions, the LED Signalmaster must continue to operate. Install - 10
