You don t know where a puncture or blow-out could strike.

People become stranded on the hard shoulder ALL THE TIME......and dthat s t where more people are killed or seriously injured than those on the carriageway itself PC Mike Horn Stay in control with this British invention originally designed for, and used by the Military. This simple upgrade is installed by your dealer to your existing wheels, giving your car, caravan or motorhome - in fact any vehicle with inflated tyres - limited run-flat capability and helps you keep the vehicle under control in the event of a puncture or blow-out. A simple low-cost device - protecting you and your expensive wheels from damage, it even helps prevent wheelbox and bodywork damage caused by a flailing tyre and some insurance companies offer significant reductions in premiums for vehicles fitted with Tyron - so it pays for itself! Tyron is fitted to emergency service vehicles throughout the world including the UK police force. Why Tyron is used extensively throughout The problem is the way wheels have to be designed. All wheels have a fitting well in them. It has to be there for fitting and removal of tyres, but it s this well that can be so dangerous when you have a puncture. When the tyre is inflated, it is held in place by air pressure but when the pressure is lost, the tyre can move around freely and drop into the fitting well. Braking and traction is lost, you can lose steering control and the wheel rim can come into contact with the road. Tyron is a patented lightweight well-filler band that converts a standard alloy or steel wheel into a safety wheel. When fitted, Tyron will significantly improve the performance and therefore safety of any wheel and tyre combination in the event of deflation. At speed, it assists the driver in maintaining steering, cornering, braking and traction control. It then provides a short run-flat capability so you can choose a safe place to change the wheel. It does not need servicing and can be re-fitted when changing tyres so Tyron lasts the life of the vehicle. You only fit it once......it could save your life! Portable Fitting Machine Have your Tyron Bands refitted easily anywhere in This small, collapsible machine weighing less than 3Kg is designed to be kept with your vehicle or caravan so that tyre fitters around the world can easily refit your Tyron Bands. On repeated tests, including 113 mph caravan tyre blowout and 106 mph emergency stop - the vehicle pulled up under control - no drama, no damage! Without the caravan, this vehicle completed 4 Km with a flat front wheel at speeds up to 130 mph. Again, complete control was maintained. Tyre and alloy rim undamaged! Sabre type B Water Tender fully laden in controlled blowout at 60 mph. The vehicle remained controllable, turning and following a tight course. The driver did not have to take any corrective action. Testing after double front blow-out, running with 11 police officers on board maintaining full control and no damage to either wheel rim. Without TYRON With TYRON IT S A FACT - caravans and motorhomes get flat tyres and never when you expect them!...and when it happens all Hell breaks loose. Swift Suntour Motorhome demonstrating a controlled blow-out at 55 mph. The vehicle remained under full control and completed a slalom course. NOT ANY MORE... Fit Tyron Flat Tyre Protection to your wheels. As a deflated tyre collapses, the wheel rim can come into contact with the road causing loss of control Tyron locks your tyre to the rim, forming a cushion of rubber so you can stay in control and drive to safety See our blow-out test videos at www.tyron.co.uk

Correct pressure is the most important factor for a tyre and, without Tyron Bands, it is the ONLY thing keeping you on the road! Did you know that 90% of vehicles have at least one tyre incorrectly inflated and manufacturers estimate that 75% of accidents caused by blow-outs are due to incorrect tyre pressure? What s more, under inflated tyres cause a reduction in the overall control of the vehicle and increase braking distance. The Problem We all know we should check tyres so why don t we?... Probably because it s too much trouble and they look OK anyway. The problem is that when you can see you need air, the tyres are probably 30% to 50% under pressurised and not only is this very dangerous, but it is actually costing you money - in fact hundreds of pounds a year! What does Pressure Monitoring do? A digital, wireless system, comprising wheel sensors and receiver - it allows you to see a readout of the pressure and temperatures in your tyres and gives a visual and audible alarm if any of your tyres need air. This portable receiver is recharged from the car cigarette lighter socket and will monitor up to 10 wheels, plus a spare, and a further 8 wheels on a trailer with the addition of extra wheel sensors. The complete Tyron Protection System By integrating the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System with Tyron Safety Bands you would have a tyre protection system like no other in It would be the ONLY system that allows you to remotely see the status of your tyres. This will save you money and reduce the risks of tyre failure. In addition, it would help you maintain control in the event of a puncture or blow-out and give you limited run-flat capability so you can find somewhere safe while you sort out the problem. Please note, it is important that you make sure the dealer is aware you have TPMS when ordering Tyron Bands. A special TPMS bracket is needed to fit around the sensor which means they would have to fit a band which is 1 smaller in diameter than the actual wheel size to allow for the bracket. (see picture below) The Financial Cost Lost fuel mileage, Tyre Inflation & Maintenance Costs If a tyre is properly inflated, it will have less rolling resistance thus maintaining a cooler operating temperature, maximum tyre life and better fuel mileage. Consider the following: Under-Inflated by 3psi 5psi 7psi 10psi % tyre tread loss 5% 22% 28% 37% Lost fuel economy 1.9% 3.1% 4.4% 6.25% Lost tyre life calculations from the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA)UK. Lost fuel mileage calculations from the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) The tyre on the left is correctly inflated. The tyre on the right is 50% under-inflated....could you tell?

You have a puncture or blow-out...then what? Do you have a spare and, if so, can you fit it?...do you WANT to fit it? Do you rely on a post sealing foam and compressor?...what if it doesn t work?...even if it does, you will still need to fit a new tyre. Do you rely on a get-me-home spare?... What do you do when you get home? Do you rely on runflat tyres?...do you know they ll only give you 100 miles at 50mph...Then what? ONLY Tyron Assist can deal with all these problems. Simply call Freephone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Tyron Assist is the ONLY emergency puncture and blow-out service that is capable of bringing and fitting new tyres to the roadside. Most people are members of a National Breakdown service of some kind. Unfortunately, while they can all get you going after a puncture, NONE of them will repair the situation with new tyres to get you going as if nothing had happened. What actually is Tyron Assist? When you fill in our enrolment form and register with us for a three year term, we will keep your vehicle details on file. Tyron Assist will cover Cars, Caravans, Motorhomes, large American RVs, Taxis... even Commercial Vehicles are included! In the event of an emergency, when you call our 0800 number, we will get to you anywhere in the British mainland in under 2 hours, day or night. Depending on the situation, we can bring you new tyres or, if you like, just change your own spare wheel. There is no call out charge - you will only pay for the new tyres that you may need! Our National network of over 1400 independent agents, offers a fast, friendly and efficient Peace-ofmind service. Your 3 year membership entitles you, not only to our Emergency call-out service, but ALSO a By appointment Service. We can be with you, by appointment, at home or your office during working hours, to change your worn tyres. There s still no call-out charge and remember, your membership is transferable to any new vehicle. Do I need Tyron bands? No... BUT they would help you stay in control and give you limited runflat capability so you could drive to somewhere safe in the event of a blow-out or puncture. 0845 3881 480 or register online www.tyron.co.uk 205 This refers to the width of the tyre in millimetres from front to back 50 This refers to the height of the tyre in millimetres as a percentage of its width R Radial Construction 17 Diameter in inches across the inside of the tyre. i.e. wheel size 89 Diameter in inches across the inside of the tyre. i.e. wheel size V Speed Symbol
