I order to use the service Automatic Map Update the vehicle s idetificatio ad localizatio durig the update process are a prereuisite. f. Aoymous evaluatio of sesor data ad usage iformatio for data uality ehacemets ad product developmet For the purpose of ehacig service data uality ad product developmet, vehicle sesor data of the surroudig traffic ifrastructure (usually supplemeted with time ad locatio referece iformatio), the vehicle status ad additioal usage iformatio are beig evaluated withi the vehicle, trasferred to BMW ad aoymised immediately. It is impossible to trace the aoymised vehicle sesor data ad usage iformatio back to a idividual customer. This vehicle sesor data icludes (amogst others) iformatio about traffic sigs, traffic lights, costructio sites, local hazards, traffic flow, road characteristics, parkig spots, or vehicle error etries. For example, iformatio about traffic sigs are beig used to ehace map data uality ad to optimize route guidace. Local hazards like fog are beig used to ehace data uality of traffic iformatio ad to avoid accidets. The usage iformatio is collected to create aoymous usage statistics about the system fuctioality. Based o this iformatio BMW is cotiuously ehacig the experiece ad uality of its products ad services. The trasmissio of vehicle sesor data to BMW is activated by default. However, a customer ca freely cofigure the categories of iformatio (e.g., iformatio about the traffic ifrastructure) i the data privacy meu of a vehicle for which the trasmissio to BMW shall be allowed. The trasmissio of vehicle sesor data ca also be deactivated completely by a customer. I additio, the data privacy meu of a vehicle provides detailed iformatio about what the categories of vehicle sesor data are evaluated ad what iformatio is beig trasferred. The submissio of usage iformatio is deactivated by default, but the user ca activate ad cofigure the submissio of usage iformatio i the data privacy meu of the vehicle. Users who activate the submissio of usage iformatio are helpig BMW to further ehace the uality of its products ad services. 3. CoectedDrive Services (SA6AK) a. BMW CoectedDrive Services The CoectedDrive Services (6AK) service is activated for 36 moths after first registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal. b. BMW Coected+ BMW Coected+ is available for 12 moths after iitial registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial free-ofcharge period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal (www.bmw-coecteddrive. com). BMW Coected+ is a upgrade to BMW s persoal mobility compaio BMW Coected. The Plus stads for a more seamless itegratio of the BMW Coected app ito the BMW vehicle ad offers a wider rage of persoalised services powered by BMW s Ope Mobility Cloud. I order to use BMW Coected+ the BMW Coected mobile applicatio eeds to be istalled o the customer s mobile device ad the customer s vehicle eeds to be paired to his/her CoectedDrive accout. I order to use the i-car fuctios the customer s smartphoe eeds to be coected via Bluetooth or USB-cable with the BMW Vehicle. The feature Sed my routes to car offers the customer the possibility to pla a multi-stop trip before eterig the vehicle, e.g. by itegratig a recommeded fuel stop to the route ad the seamlessly trasferrig the ew route to the vehicle. BMW Coected Oboard is the customer s persoal commad ceter that gives access to all fuctios of BMW Coected i oe persoalised scree i the vehicle. It provides relevat iformatio at the right time i oe place ad shows persoalised cotet like the ext meetigs or the traffic situatio alogside the curret route.

Share Live Trip Status offers a service to safely share the arrival time ad curret live whereabouts i a map view with family, frieds or busiess parters. They receive a lik to a dedicated website where they ca fid all ecessary iformatio about the trip status. BMW Coected+ allows seamless door-to-door avigatio from the customer s curret positio to the BMW vehicle ad from the vehicle to the fial destiatio also icludig walkig times. The feature My Destiatios gives easy access to all relevat destiatios aytime ad o all BMW Coected touchpoits i ad outside of the BMW vehicle. Details about the processig of persoal data i course of the BMW Coected+ services ca be foud i the privacy policy of BMW Coected. c. BMW Olie The Service BMW Olie is a mobile Iteret portal that provides various iformatio services such as curret weather coditios ad the latest ews. The customer ca uery local iformatio via the olie search fuctio. The addresses foud ca be adopted directly ito the avigatio system as destiatios. I additio, the customer also has access to office fuctios with the Service BMW Olie. BMW aims to provide a advaced ad high-uality rage of iformatio services withi the scope of BMW Olie. To esure that this aim is met, the iformatio services provided withi the scope of BMW Olie udergo regular ispectio. As a coseuece of this ispectio, it is ot oly possible for further iformatio services ad fuctioalities to be added but also for idividual iformatio services or costituet parts thereof to be removed from the BMW Olie portfolio temporarily or eve permaetly. Use of the Service reuires idetificatio of the vehicle ad processig of the iformatio eeded for providig assistace. The data are subseuetly deleted. Whe the Poits of Iterest uery is used, the customer s euiry is trasmitted, where appropriate, to the service provider commissioed by BMW to perform the Services, where it is used exclusively for providig the respective Service ad stored util the operatios have bee duly processed. The data are subseuetly deleted. No additioal trasfer of the data to third parties takes place. d. Sed to Car The Service Sed to Car provides the optio of trasmittig complete address data records from the customer s persoal computer directly to the vehicle via My BMW CoectedDrive. This ca take place either before or durig the jourey. Addresses ca be trasferred to the telephoe directory or to the avigatio system as a destiatio. The Service Sed to Car is supplemeted by the Sed to Car fuctios. Addresses ca be foud o Google Maps o the Iteret ad the set directly to the vehicle by the driver. This also applies to the Service HRS Sed to Car, which eables the address data record for a hotel room booked with the Hotel Reservatio Service (HRS) to be trasferred from the driver s ow PC to the vehicle. Both address ad telephoe umber ca the be called up i the vehicle uder the meu commad My Ifo, from where they ca be etered directly ito the avigatio system as a destiatio or to the mobile telephoe. Calls to third-parties are made at the driver s cost via the mobile telephoe coected with the vehicle. 4. Cocierge Services (SA6AN) The Cocierge Services (SA6AN) service is activated for 36 moths after first registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal. To use the service, the customer is coected to the BMW call cetre at the push of a butto usig the itegrated telephoe uit. I this way, data cocerig the vehicle s idetificatio, locatio ad if route guidace is activated the selected route may be trasmitted to the service providers commissioed by BMW to provide the service i that case, this data shall oly be used to help process the provisio of the service ad shall be retaied util all procedures have bee properly completed. The data shall the be deleted. Beyod this, o data shall be forwarded to third parties. 5. Real Time Traffic Iformatio (SA6AM) The Real Time Traffic Iformatio ( RTTI - SA6AM) service is activated for 36 moths after first registratio. The customer ca exted the service for a additioal charge beyod the iitial period via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal. The traffic iformatio reuired for the service is calculated by a variety of meas icludig usig what is kow as Floatig Car Data. I this sese, every CoectedDrive-capable BMW fuctios as a mobile traffic reporter (Floatig Car). The idividual positio ad sesor data of the vehicle calculated durig the trip is trasferred completely aoymously to BMW ad a service provider together with up-to-date time iformatio. 6. Remote Services (SA6AP) Registratio o My BMW CoectedDrive at www.bmw-coecteddrive.de is a prereuisite for the Remote Services (SA6AP) fuctio. This Service has to be booked oce ad ca the be used for a ulimited period of time. Usig this Service, the customer ca lock or ulock his/her vehicle from a distace via smartphoe ad, i the case of selected vehicles, soud the hor ad flash the lights. At the customer s reuest, vehicle coditio iformatio, such as the geographic vehicle positio are trasmitted from the vehicle to BMW. Furthermore, with the special euipmet optio of auxiliary heatig, the customer ca also programme the heatig periods. The BMW CoectedDrive ad My BMW Remote App applicatios are available for iphoe i the Apple App StoreSM ad for AdroidTM i Google PlayTM. Further iformatio, icludig that o data processig, ca be viewed prior to istallatio of the applicatios. 7. edrive Services (SA6AG) a. The service edrive Services comprises fuctios that are displayed to the driver i the vehicle, i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad i the BMW CoectedDrive portal. The service supports the driver with iformatio relevat to electroic mobility. The service serves amog others to verify ad evaluate the uality of the chargig statios. For this purpose, locatio iformatio as well as chargig process iformatio is set to BMW ad trasmitted to the BMW Car IT GmbH for each chargig start, fiish, iterruptio ad error as well as for each power o ad off. Verified ad evaluated chargig statios are displayed to the customer i the GPS, BMW Olie, BMW CoectedDrive App ad CoectedDrive customer portal. Furthermore, possible locatios for ew chargig statios or locatios ca be idetified. b. The Efficiecy service utilises vehicle coditio iformatio which is set from the vehicle to BMW with every vehicle switch-off. These data serve to calculate the drivig performace idex which is displayed i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad i the CoectedDrive customer portal. c. The drivig performace idex will be statistically processed with the idex of other BMW drivers i the Commuity fuctio displayed aoymously i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad the BMW CoectedDrive customer portal. The service Commuity reuires the customer s agreemet i the customer portal or i the BMW CoectedDrive App. d. The service Route to the vehicle ad vehicle positio uses vehicle coditio iformatio as well as iformatio regardig the positio of the vehicle, which are set to BMW with every vehicle switch-off. These data serve to display the geographic vehicle positio, which is displayed i the BMW CoectedDrive App ad i the CoectedDrive customer portal. 8. Itercoectio of the vehicle with portals ad apps (depedig o the vehicle euipmet) The Service Itercoectio of the vehicle with portals ad apps trasmits vehicle data (e.g. vehicle positio, service iformatio, rage, etc.) upo certai chages of the vehicle s state (e.g. start of drivig, ed of drivig, lockig, etc.) from the vehicle to BMW. These data are used to display the geographic vehicle positio, the route to the vehicle ad further vehicle coditio iformatio i BMW apps ad BMW customer portals. The trasmitted iformatio is beig used for the purpose of uality improvemet ad the developmet of coected services ad future vehicles i a fully aoymised form. The BMW apps are available for iphoe i the Apple App Store SM ad for Adroid TM i Google Play TM. Further iformatio, icludig that o data processig, ca be viewed prior to istallatio of the app. The Service Apple CarPlay Preparatio is available for a period of 3 (three) years. While Apple CarPlay Preparatio is available for customers, the fuctioality of this is etirely depedet o ay updates which may be published by the developer ad ay euiries i this regard should be directed to the developer. Availability of the service The Services described are supplied withi Germay for selected models ad oly for customers whose vehicles are registered i Germay ad who have the ecessary items of special euipmet. Emergecy Call is available for vehicles with the permaetly istalled SIM card (P-SIM) i Germay, Austria, Italy, Sa Mario, Vatica City, Frace, Moaco, Switzerlad, Liechtestei, Belgium, the Netherlads, the Uited Kigdom, Irelad, Spai, South Africa, Adorra, Portugal, Swede, Norway,Czech Republic, Polad, Turkey ad Russia. The Services TeleServices, Cocierge Service, Remote Services ad BMW Olie ca i priciple be called up via the SIM card (P-SIM) permaetly istalled i the vehicle i every Europea cellular telephoy etwork. Whe the Services are used i a foreig coutry, their scope ad properties may vary from the afore-metioed scopes ad properties ad differ from coutry to coutry. RTTI is available i Germay, Austria, Italy, Frace, Switzerlad, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlads, the Uited Kigdom, Irelad, Spai, South Africa, Portugal, Swede, Demark, Norway, Czech Republic, Polad, Turkey ad Russia. Deactivatio The customer ca deactivate the BMW CoectedDrive basic services Teleservices (6AE) ad Itelliget Emergecy Call (6AC) (ad Remote Services (SA6AP), i the case of BMWi vehicles) at ay time at a authorised BMW dealer, a regioal BMW brach or a authorised BMW workshop. Deactivatio of this service will also deactivate the SIM card istalled i the vehicle. This results i the Emergecy Call i the vehicle also ot fuctioig. The other services ca also be deactivated by the customer (from July 2014 via the BMW CoectedDrive Customer Portal ( My BMW CoectedDrive ), although the agreemet betwee the customer ad BMW i respect of those services will remai i operatio ad will ot be suspeded by the deactivatio.
