Cannon A-Compact has been developed to give a concrete response to these requirements. These models are the ideal solution to solve the production problems of small and medium-sized businesses, which are extremely rationalised but at the same time have high technical & technological content. Apart from particular areas of application which use filled or reinforced Courtesy of materials, the A-Compact models are now widespread and used to produce an extensive range of polyurethane foams in the most variety of applications: from rigid low-density polyurethanes for thermal insulation to flexible foam cushioning for automotive and furniture industries, from synthetic wood to integral leather. POLYURETHANE TECHNOLOGY Based on the design of the well-known Cannon A-System, the A-Compact series can, for all purposes, be considered a compact version of it, adopting the same key components. Cannon has selected the world's best-known suppliers, to guarantee that the most important machine parts - control systems and electronic B&B Italia instruments, mechanical and hydraulic devices are reliable and readily replaceable. The compact & rational design means that all machine modules - tanks, metering and electrical panel - can be positioned on a single frame, while the open structure allows excellent accessibility to all the parts for their easy maintenance and cleaning. For the same reasons, the A-Compact is easily transported, requires less room for installation but above all necessitates no accessory wiring: in other words it can be considered a Plug & Play unit, immediately ready for production start-up! Set values are constantly compared with those measured in real time. Whenever deviations beyond the tolerances allowed are recorded, the control system automatically adjusts the parameters, keeping output and ratio values stable. A - Compact On the basis of its vast experience in the mixing of polyurethanes, Cannon developed a complete series of high-pressure pumps with fixed and variable output which have been very successfully utilised for several years on other Cannon high- pressure machines. Cannon pumps represent a real and valid alternative to the models commonly available on the market, offering intrinsic reliability, metering accuracy and efficiency. Control Panel based on "Touch Screen" Technology. Safety is a high priority. Cannon continually scours the market and other industrial sectors for new technological safety solutions, which can be applied to its metering units. Real examples of this constant endeavour are: the innovative protection sheath co-designed by Cannon to cover high-pressure component flexible pipes for easy maintenance and in order to keep the machine in optimum condition, all electrical wires pass through the frame. They are, therefore, not visible and not subject to deterioration or damage which accidental handling may cause. safety plugs on each drainage line to perform the necessary operations in complete safety and avoid any unplanned leaks of material. anti-corrosion bolts to offer the best circuit seal, even in extreme climate conditions. electrical heating elements recycle stream distributors which guarantee a constant low-pressure flow of the material through the temperature control circuit when the machine is in operation. Moreover, each tank is fitted with a sight level, which is magnetically driven by the liquid. Four independent levels (minimum, maximum, start fill and stop fill), based on magnetic contacts and with adjustable positioning, control the volume of material inside each tank and the automatic re-filling system. Machine functions are monitored and controlled in real time by a PLC, which is interfaced with a dedicated control panel, based on Touch Screen technology. Its reliability, compactness and low maintenance make this head the essential component to obtain high-quality products. The Week-End Cycle can be set and programmed for low and high-pressure recycling of the components when the normal production cycle has stopped, to prevent sedimentation in the tanks during long shutdown periods. A - Compact Optional Devices All the A-Compact models can, on request, be supplied with a series of optional devices. Instead of mechanical joints the machine can be mount magnetic couplings, which offer greater guarantees of safety when working with potentially flammable and toxic liquids. The material storage tanks can be equipped with mechanical stirrers to keep the components moving and the chemicas l temperature stable, ensuring a homogeneous mixture. The mixing head can be vertically and/or horizontally mounted on a rotating boom assembled on the machine frame or on a separate stand-alone support. In order to obtain easier and more flexible mixing head positioning on the requested foaming axis, the system can be also supplied with a dedicated device to cross over from vertical to horizontal.
