REMOVE DIRT AND SPILLAGE FROM AROUND THE CRUSHER. REMOVE DUST AND DIRT FROM CRUSHER FRAME SURFACES. REMOVE DUST AND DIRT FROM DRIVE MOTOR. CHECK FLUID LEVELS IN DIESEL ENGINE (IF EQUIPPED). REFER TO ENGINE MANUFACTURER S MANUAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS. INSPECT CHUTES AND HOPPERS FOR WEAR. REMOVE ANY OBSTRUCTIONS. VERIFY THAT CRUSHING CHAMBER IS CLEAR. REMOVE DUST AND DIRT FROM LUBRICATION SYSTEM. INSPECT LUBRICATION SYSTEM FOR LEAKS. CHECK LUBRICATION SYSTEM OIL LEVEL. ADD OIL IF LOW. REMOVE DUST AND DIRT FROM HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. CHECK HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR LEAKS. CHECK HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL LEVEL. ADD OIL IF LOW. CHECK THE HYDRAULIC RELIEF PRESSURE. GAGE SHOULD READ 4600 + 50 PSI. (NOTE CHECK WITH POWER IN THE CRUSH MODE.) 10/04 Page 1 of 5

CHECK THAT HYDRAULIC FILTER INDICATOR IS GREEN (CHECK AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE WITH HYDRAULIC PUMP ON). DEPRESS HORN TEST BUTTON. ALARM HORN MUST SOUND. CHECK LUBRICATION SYSTEM OIL PRESSURE AND FLOW. BE SURE THAT NORMAL READINGS ARE INDICATED (SEE OPERATOR S MANUAL). CHECK THE OIL TEMPERATURE: OIL MUST BE AT LEAST 50 O F (10 O C) BEFORE CRUSHER IS STARTED. OIL MUST BE AT LEAST 70 O F (21 O C) BEFORE CRUSHING BEGINS. OIL MUST NOT EXCEED 140 O F (60 O C) AT ANY TIME. CHECK THAT OIL FILTER INDICATOR IS GREEN. (CHECK AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE WITH OIL PUMP ON) CHECK HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL TEMPERATURE. OIL TEMPERATURE MUST NOT EXCEED 130 F (55 C). CHECK FOR UNUSUAL NOISE OR VIBRATION. VERIFY THAT MATERIAL FEED IS EVENLY DISTRIBUTED. CHECK THE DISCHARGE CONVEYOR FOR PROPER OPERATION. BE SURE THERE IS NO SPILLAGE OR BACKING-UP OF MATERIAL. 10/04 Page 2 of 5

VERIFY THAT POWER DRAW IS WITHIN NORMAL LIMITS. CHECK JAW DIES AND CHEEK PLATES FOR LOOSENESS, CRACKS OR WEAR. CHECK TIGHTNESS OF NUTS AND BOLTS. MEASURE THE CRUSHER DISCHARGE SETTING. TEST THE OIL PUMP INTERLOCK. CRUSHER MUST NOT START WHEN OIL PUMP IS OFF. INSPECT ALL HOSES AND LINES FOR WEAR OR FATIGUE. PERFORM LUBRICATION SYSTEM OIL ANALYSIS. REMOVE DIRT FROM OIL COOLER FINS. (FAN TYPE AIR-OIL COOLERS ONLY - IF EQUIPPED) REMOVE DUST AND DIRT FROM HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS. TEST ALL HYDRAULIC FUNCTIONS FOR PROPER OPERATION. CLEAN AND INSPECT ALL GAUGES AND INDICATORS. REMOVE DUST AND DIRT FROM SHEAVES. CHECK SHEAVES FOR WEAR, DAMAGE OR LOOSENESS. INSPECT V-BELTS FOR WEAR OR DAMAGE. CHECK V-BELT TENSION. 10/04 Page 3 of 5

VERIFY THAT ALL GUARDS ARE TIGHTLY INSTALLED. CHECK SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR LOOSE OR DAMAGED MEMBERS. VERIFY THAT SUPPORT STRUCTURE IS LEVEL. CHECK CRUSHER FRAME AND SWING JAW FOR CRACKS. CHECK AMMETER. VERIFY PROPER OPERATION. INSPECT FILLER CAP BREATHERS ON LUBRICATION AND HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS. CLEAN OR REPLACE IF CLOGGED. INSPECT SWING JAW AIR BREATHER. CLEAN OR REPLACE IF CLOGGED. INSPECT OIL COOLERS. CHECK FOR PROPER WATER FLOW. FLUSH AND CLEAN COOLER IF NECESSARY (WATER-TYPE OIL COOLERS ONLY IF EQUIPPED). TEST ALL HYDRAULIC FUNCTIONS FOR PROPER OPERATION. CHANGE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL. REPLACE OIL FILTER ELEMENT AND SUCTION STRAINER. CLEAN OUT ALL CHUTES, HOPPERS, AND ROCK BOXES. CHANGE THE LUBRICATION SYSTEM OIL. REPLACE OIL FILTER ELEMENT AND SUCTION STRAINER. CLEAN TANK INTERIOR REMOVING ALL DIRT AND SLUDGE. INSPECT OIL HEATER. REMOVE ANY CARBON BUILD UP FROM ELEMENTS. 600 HRS. 10/04 Page 4 of 5

PERFORM DIESEL ENGINE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE (IF EQUIPPED). LUBRICATE CRUSHER DRIVE MOTOR. LUBRICATE OIL PUMP MOTOR. LUBRICATE HYDRAULIC PUMP MOTOR. LUBRICATE OIL COOLER FAN MOTOR. (FAN-TYPE OIL COOLERS ONLY - IF EQUIPPED) REFER TO ENGINE MANUFACTURER S MANUAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS AND SERVICE INTERVALS. REFER TO MOTOR MANUFACTURER S MANUAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS AND SERVICE INTERVALS. 10/04 Page 5 of 5
